Trusted teacher: In the singing lesson we start with learning basic theory about mindset, breathing, breath support,... For students with some experience in singing we go more into different types of singing, for example head voice, mixed voice, emotions while singing, microphone techniques,... Do you want specific tips for e.g. performances, music choices,...? This is certainly possible! I will look with you at what your needs are and what you would like to learn. We're not just going to look at the voice but also at 'How do I stand on stage?' or 'How do I reduce stress?' So I'm also going to look at the mental and emotional aspects. I will help you further based on all my musical baggage that I am currently expanding myself! I am super excited to get started with you and further develop our singing voice together. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- In the singing class we start by teaching basic theory about mindset, breathing, breath support,.... Trusted teacher: I have been immersed in music, and particularly the piano, for over 40 years. I was trained by concert professors, who were themselves trained by the greatest (my own professor's piano teacher was taught by Alfred Cortot). I learned music theory at the Conservatoire and harmony and counterpoint at the HEM in Geneva. At the same time, I have a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the Université des Lettres de Genève. This allows me not only to teach the essential basics of music to students, but also to place each style and each composer in its historical context. This greatly facilitates learning. I teach all types of music, from classical to modern pop, including film music and more recent composers like Ludovico Einaudi. My goal is to give the student a good harmonic foundation and a good musical ear so that they can be independent in what they want to play and always have the pleasure of sitting down at the piano! My classes are aimed at beginners of all ages (children or adults) with no musical knowledge, as well as advanced students or those who want to prepare for theoretical or practical exams. The scores will always be chosen in agreement with the student, according to their objectives and desired progress, mixing all musical styles (classical, pop, film music, etc.) so that they always have fun playing their instrument. Each student is unique, which is why each lesson is prepared individually to meet their aspirations or objectives. It is very important to me that the course takes place in a kind and sharing atmosphere, with discussion. For children, I can conduct regular interviews with parents in person or by phone (after each lesson if necessary) to report on the progress made and the achievement of desired objectives. I am very flexible regarding the wishes of each student and therefore adapt easily to any situation. The strong points of the lessons: • In all styles (classical, contemporary, modern hits, film music) • All levels, courses in French • Possibility of courses or additional courses in English or Russian if necessary • All ages (for children under 6 years old, lessons of 15-20 minutes maximum with adapted price) • Organization of recitals in the presence of parents and the public in a friendly atmosphere • Kindness • Adaptation to each student, definition of objectives individually • The student can choose certain pieces that he would like to play • Improvisation: learning improvisation techniques so that the student can play pieces on the piano naturally and without sheet music. • For children: regular interviews with parents in person or by telephone (after each lesson if necessary) to report on progress made and achievement of desired objectives • Discount from the 2nd student per family • Listening to each student • Always in kindness and benevolence • Theory and practice are taught in parallel so that the student always enjoys everything they do. Possibility of taking the two separately (either piano or music theory) • Share my passion for music • Patience • Piano 4 hands • Canton of Geneva – free travel

Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Orestis, I come from Cyprus and I am 27 years old. I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations. I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA). I have performed extensively as a solo and chamber musician and I had the joy to collaborate with various orchestras. My greatest joy in music is collaborating and creating music together with other musicians, and this is why I am now pursuing the Specialized Piano Chamber Music Master’s at ZHdK. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
