I'm a Leeds Conservatoire Graduate with a First-Class Degree in Popular Music - Voice Performance. Professional Singer, Musician, and Performer. My appearances include performing at the Royal Albert Hall, various Television broadcasts, 5-star luxury hotels & resorts, and high-end cocktail bars. Making me an excellent option if you want professional feedback and like to work with industry professionals. Musical Background: My relationship with music began at the age of 9, when I started piano lessons and soon joined my teacher’s children’s choir, quickly stepping into receiving solos. At 14, I began one-to-one vocal training, and within two years I achieved Trinity Grade 8 with Distinction, earning the Highest Mark of the Year nationally. In 2019, I completed ABRSM Grade 8 Piano, and in 2020, I was accepted with an unconditional offer to study Popular Music at the prestigious Leeds Conservatoire, where I graduated in 2024 with First-Class Honours. My teaching technique and methodology are flexible and vary according to your learning style, aims, and goals. I have experience teaching a wide age range (6-70 years old), and I am adaptable and comfortable in teaching and tailoring lessons according to my students' experience, needs, goals, and aims. My existing students particularly highlight my communication and ability to effectively transfer knowledge, whilst at the same time having engaging, fun, and enjoyable lessons with me. Curriculum: I have been professionally coaching and teaching since 2023, working with over 100 students to develop their skills in singing, piano, music theory, and songwriting. Until recently, I was part of a teaching team at a music school in the UK, delivering one-to-one lessons. However, earlier this year I decided to pursue this independently and build my very own music coaching business, offering a more personal and flexible approach. My teaching style is modern and student-focused. That means I take the time to talk with you about the music you like, and we create lesson plans that are not only effective for your growth, but also enjoyable and inspiring, and make you actually want to continue. → No prior experience needed. We will learn everything & boost your confidence together.

Are you curious about learning the cello, or eager to expand your playing into new sonic territories? I’m Dalai, a Greek-Mongolian cellist, singer, and composer based between Berlin and Melbourne. I offer private lessons to students of all ages and levels — from children picking up their first string, to experienced players seeking creative growth. 🎻 What I Teach & How Fundamental technique & musicality — proper posture, bowing, intonation, phrasing Classical & contemporary repertoire — from Bach to modern works Improvisation, composition & creative exploration — help you develop your own voice Electric / effects / extended cello techniques — looping, pedals, sound design Voice + cello integration, recording & performance coaching Stage presence & confidence building — preparing for recitals, studio work, or collaborative projects My lessons are highly individualized. I adapt to your pace, interests, and goals. I value curiosity and experimentation: we’ll combine structure with freedom so you can grow technically and artistically. 🌍 My Experience & Why I Teach I studied Classical Cello with distinction in Athens and trained further with eminent teachers such as Dimitrios Gouzios, Catalin Ilea, and Lucio Amanti. Since relocating to Berlin in 2008, I’ve been immersed in experimental, free jazz, and contemporary music scenes. I perform in projects like Black Veil and Antiqva, have composed for theater (including The Robbers at Meiningen National Theater), and worked in film & art productions collaborating with composers like Johnny Klimek and Mario Grigorov. Teaching is a core part of my musical mission. I believe technique should serve expression — and that every student’s voice is unique. Whether your goal is mastery of classical works, sonic experimentation, or composing your own music, I aim to support your growth with clarity, empathy, and creative openness.

Welcome! :) What does music mean to you? For me, music is magic. It makes you feel, it transports you to different worlds, and it brings out emotions words cannot describe. I’ve been playing since I was six, and now my greatest joy is not only sharing my own music but also helping you express yourself through this beautiful art form. In our lessons, I’ll guide you through solid technical foundations, practical tips and tricks, and the secrets of artistry that bring music to life. I teach all levels, from beginners just starting out to advanced students preparing for exams, auditions, or performances. My musical journey has taken me from Singapore to the USA, UK, and Sweden, with studies at Singapore’s School of the Arts, Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, Meadowmount School of Music (USA), the Royal College of Music in London, and the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg. Along the way, I have been fortunate to learn from renowned violinists including Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky, Yumi Sasaki, Chan Yoong Han, Sally Thomas, Marja Inkinen Engström, and Øyvor Volle. I hold two violin performance diplomas (LTCL and LRSM), a distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 piano performance, and was awarded the top Ash Music Scholarship at Imperial College London, where I studied violin under Professor Rashkovsky. During my time there, I won the Imperial College Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, performing Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto in Helsinki, London, and Southampton. I have also given solo recitals and performed extensively in chamber ensembles, with concerts ranging from Sibelius’ house in Finland to venues across the UK. My deepest passion is chamber music, and one of my main motivations as a teacher is to make classical music enjoyable and approachable. I want to help break away from the stereotype that it is grand, pretentious, or boring. In an age of digitalisation and AI, I believe strongly in sharing the human side of music making. You know those moments when time seems to stop, the air turns still, you get goosebumps, or feel transported into another world? That is the magic of music, and I would love to help you become the magician. ✨ If you are have questions, or would like to book a lesson (piano and/or violin, up to you!), please feel free to reach out. I look forward to working with you! :)
