I am a classical pianist and film scoring composer, graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston. In today’s world, I believe it’s essential to find a balance between developing creative skills beyond technology and adapting professionally through it. My classes offer a unique combination of piano lessons and music production. We explore music theory in a practical, engaging way — by creating our own compositions, analyzing them, and applying the concepts directly to our work. I use a variety of tools and programs in my teaching, including Logic Pro, Cubase, and Sibelius, depending on the student’s level and goals. With these, we learn to: Write music by hand and digitally. Create original compositions and orchestral arrangements. Record and produce our own performances. One of my favorite aspects of teaching children is working through storytelling and emotional expression. Have you ever imagined what Peter Pan’s musical theme might sound like? How can music express the adventurous nature of such a character? My guitar classes are shaped around you—your musical taste, your goals, and the way you learn best. Whether you’re into rock, metal, pop, blues, or anything in between, we’ll use the music you love as the foundation of your progress. I blend technique with practical music theory so everything makes sense on the fretboard. Along the way, we’ll explore triads and tetrads, pentatonic scales and modes, chord and arpeggio shapes, harmonic fields, the circle of fifths, and core techniques like tapping, sweep, alternate, and economy picking—always in a clear, musical, and approachable way. I’ve been a guitarist since 1998 and studied Popular Guitar at FAAM and Music Pedagogy at UFSCAR in Brazil. In 2025, I graduated with First Class Honours from the University of West London. Alongside teaching, I’ve always been active as a composer, recording artist, and performing guitarist in numerous bands. Since 2016, I’ve owned and composed for Arken, a heavy metal band with three albums released. The main outcome of my classes is to help you truly own the instrument—playing comfortably, confidently, and improvise musically. From there, you’ll be able to learn and play any songs you want, and even create your own music if that’s your goal. Beginners and advanced players are equally welcome. My name is Jason and I've been playing guitar for over ten years. I studied music at University in the UK and went on to complete a Masters in Music Composition. After finishing my studies, I turned my attention to live performance. Over the past few years I have been working primarily as a session musician and guitar tutor in and around the London area, UK. As well as teaching guitar I have performed in jazz ensembles, accompanied vocalists, hosted jam sessions and recorded with various artists whilst also occasionally working in musical theatre and improvisation projects. I now reside in Luxembourg where I teach guitar. Although I specialise in jazz and Brazilian guitar, I teach a wide range of styles including pop, rock, blues and classical. My violin lessons are aimed at children, teenagers, and adults, beginners or amateurs, who wish to discover this instrument or progress step by step. I use a progressive and fun method: we work a few measures at a time, slowly at first, then repeating until the passage is well acquired. As with my piano lessons, I emphasize the understanding of rhythm and reading, using visual cues (sticks for rhythm, colors for accidentals). To make learning more motivating, I also play the piece with the student, which helps develop listening skills, musical sense and the pleasure of playing together.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.
