My name is Christina, I am a piano teacher with a degree from the conservatory specializing in classical piano, as well as a master's degree in music pedagogy. I have been teaching piano for over 15 years and have trained more than a hundred students of all ages and levels. Passionate about music and its teaching, as both a piano teacher and music education teacher in college, my professional experience extends to different countries. I have also had the opportunity to participate in various cultural events, as a solo pianist and accompanist for opera singers. I therefore offer piano lessons at your home throughout the right bank of Geneva, up to Nyon. My lessons are for children, teenagers, and adults of all levels, whether for simple recreation or for advanced training. I also offer specialized services such as four-hand piano, wellness piano (for behavioral issues such as hyperactivity, stress, stage fright, etc.), preparation for conservatory competitions and exams, and musical awakening for toddlers. I am here to support you in your own musical journey or that of your child, whether you wish to begin, continue, or resume playing the piano. My lessons are relaxed and take place in a friendly and joyful atmosphere, focused on the love of music. I offer high-quality instruction based on enjoyment and personal growth, without neglecting the essential technical aspects necessary for progress. My motto is to listen to the student and adapt my teaching methods to each individual's pace and needs. I offer you a wide repertoire including different styles of music: Classical piano including different periods (baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary). Contemporary music (pop, film scores...) Music from elsewhere (Spanish, Argentinian, oriental...)

As for me, after a bachelor's degree in piano and a master's degree in international soloist, I am doing my second master's degree in piano pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. I have been giving piano lessons for 4 years, doing replacements at the Geneva and Friborg conservatories, with great pleasure. I'm happy to send it to you ;)

I have received Swiss awards (AGFDU, Baume et Mercier, Ethique & Valeurs, Engelberts, Leenaards) and Canadian awards (Public Peace Prize). My Piano Mondo concept is a direct continuation of all these commitments: placing the individual at the heart of teaching, allowing everyone to bring their own story...and setting it to music! I can also provide support lessons for external piano exams as part of competitions, for exams in other music schools or for the music option of specific school curricula. Pianist student at the HEM in Geneva offers piano lessons as well as music theory! Basic elementary and intermediate level I also propose a part to speak about the musical appreciation of all the periods of the history of the music. For all ages! These will be lessons to work on the piano (beginners and intermediate) while we talk about music theory (harmony, music theory, analysis, etc.) and also a time to listen to recordings and talk about musical appreciation. Besides classical education, I also work with jazz pieces and pop music. It's an hour to have fun, learn and discover. I have over five years of experience teaching piano and music theory, with children, youth and adults. I can move to the student's home (Lausanne and Canton of Vaud) and I am flexible with weekly schedules. I adapt to each student and situation! Classes can be given in French, Spanish or English.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and interactive. We start from the music you enjoy and build your skills step by step. In class we work on songs, chords, rhythm, technique and improvisation, always in a practical and musical way. Lessons are adapted to your level and goals, whether you are a beginner or already have some experience. My goal is simple: help you understand the piano, enjoy music and feel confident playing. Feel free to send me a message and tell me what music you love!

The rule is simple: don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself! Students are encouraged to try, fail, and overall be proactive in learning new information in bite-sized chunks: all of that in a warm and comforting environment. Depending on the personal goal of the student, we will learn/refine/explore the following topics: - Fundamental techniques of playing piano - How to read and play chords - How to play an improvised solo - How to change the underlying harmonies of a song to make it sound cooler (or weirder!) - Understanding how the musical elements are glued in a song, and if you dare, how to write one yourself - How to learn music or play music by ear - Exploring piano-looking-like instruments such as electric keyboards and subtractive synthesizers Languages: English (fluent), German (B1 and improving), Korean (native)
