I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won't waste your time! Also I'm a fun and very empathetic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I speak 6 languages: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages. Should not be out of your level, we can play from pop to classical music, every student is different and therefore also my method. I, Kaori, have been active in the musical sector as a driven entrepreneur since 2016. At the age of three I started playing the piano, when I was 16 I composed my first piano song, and at the age of 18 I started to conduct small ensembles and create my own multidisciplinary to create projects with a mix of music, theater and other arts. By sharing my love for music, I ensure that the message gets across to the musicians, regardless of their level. My main focus is on playing together, being musically active and having fun in the process. I believe that every person is different and has different needs and abilities, that's why I like to adapt to my students and take care of their interests. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice.
