Need Practice Guidance? Professional Online/Home Piano & Flute Coaching

Graduated from the École Normale de Musique de Paris with a Master’s Degree, I am a Taiwanese flutist and pianist currently based in Singapore. I offer individual piano and flute lessons in English and Mandarin for students of all ages and levels. During my studies and career, I’ve gained extensive teaching and performing experience across France, Taiwan, and Singapore. I’ve collaborated with a wide range of musicians — from orchestral soloists to chamber ensembles — experiences that shaped my flexible, student-centred teaching approach. My goal is to help every student learn efficiently, express freely, and enjoy steady, visible progress. Many students tell me their practice time doesn’t feel productive — they want to improve, but aren’t sure if they’re practicing correctly. That’s where I can help. I also offer one-on-one online practice supervision and accompaniment coaching, designed for students who need expert guidance between lessons or before important performances. These sessions focus on: - Improving technique, rhythm, and musical phrasing - Developing awareness of tone and balance - Strengthening confidence before exams or recitals - Creating effective practice habits that bring real results Whether you’re preparing for an ABRSM exam, polishing a performance, or simply wanting to play better and enjoy music more, I’ll guide you step-by-step with patience, structure, and motivation. Lessons are available online or in person, with flexible scheduling and personalized feedback after every class. Learn with clarity. Practice with purpose. Grow in confidence and joy through every note.

Piano Lessons for Children and Adults with ABRSM Diploma Qualified Teacher

Piano Lessons for Children and Adults with ABRSM Diploma Qualified Teacher

Hello, I'm Stacie! I'm a qualified pianist and piano teacher in Singapore. Having learned the piano since the age of 5, I cultivated a strong sense of interest and passion in music, obtaining my ABRSM Grade 8 Piano practical certificate before finishing my secondary education. I also hold an ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory. To improve myself as a performer and to acquire in-depth knowledge about music and piano playing, I have gone on to obtain my ABRSM Diploma (DipABRSM) in piano performance as well as LCM Diploma (DipLCM) in piano performance. I am also currently pursuing for my LRSM Diploma under ABRSM to further hone my skills in piano playing. Aside from solo piano playing, I enjoy performing with other musicians such as playing piano accompaniment for choirs and instrumentalists. I also perform regularly as a choral singer in concert halls. I'm an all-rounded teacher who is able to teach reading music notation, piano techniques, sight-reading, aural skills, music theory, and different styles of music in an engaging and effective way that will suit you or your children's needs. I have 4 years of teaching experience with private students from 3 years old to adults for both graded examinations and leisure piano. I have also taught for 1 year at Cristofori Music School. To date, most of my students have obtained distinctions in their ABRSM exam within 1 year of learning under me. I also strive to cultivate an interest and passion for music through incorporating pieces and songs that students enjoy as well as performance opportunities and competitions into the learning experience.

Music Lessons / Piano Lessons / Music Theory in Erpe-Mere (Burst)

Music Lessons / Piano Lessons / Music Theory in Erpe-Mere (Burst)

As a piano teacher, I possess a strong musical ear, extensive piano skills, and a broad knowledge of music and music theory. Thanks to my experience as a music teacher, I can guide students in their musical development in a clear, structured, and inspiring way. I am fluent in sight-reading and can quickly analyze and explain music, which helps me support students efficiently and purposefully during their learning process. In my lessons, I combine technical development with musical understanding and expression. Patience, clear communication, and a positive learning environment are essential to me. Every student is different, which is why I use a personal approach that pays attention to the pace, level, and goals of each student. My strong motivational skills help students gain confidence in their playing and continue to enjoy learning music. An important part of my work as a piano teacher is recognizing my students' strengths and weaknesses. By observing and listening carefully, I can provide targeted advice and adapt exercises so that students develop step by step. I help them improve their technique, deepen their musicality, and strengthen their confidence on the instrument. The primary task in my piano lessons is to motivate students and make them enthusiastic about playing the piano. I want students not only to learn to play, but also to develop a true love for music. Therefore, I pay attention to technical skills as well as musical interpretation and listening skills. During the lessons, I work systematically on the development of hand and finger technique. This is done through targeted exercises such as scales, arpeggios, chord structures, and other technical exercises that help build flexibility, strength, and control in the fingers. Additionally, I guide students in reading sheet music correctly, understanding rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and musical expression. I also develop and use adapted teaching materials and exercises that match the student's level and progress. By regularly reviewing and adjusting the exercises and techniques, I ensure that students build a solid technical and musical foundation. In addition to learning to play existing pieces, I also focus on understanding music. Therefore, students in my lessons are also introduced to elements of music theory, so that they better understand how music is structured. This helps them practice more independently, learn new music faster, and develop a deeper insight into music. My goal as a piano teacher is to create an inspiring learning environment in which students can develop musically, discover their creativity, and grow step by step as musicians. Playing the piano is not only a technical skill but also an art form through which people can express emotions, ideas, and stories. Therefore, in my lessons, I always try to connect technique, knowledge, and musical experience.

“ Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them. ”

“ Great didactic and approach for our 8 year old daughter! She loves the piano classes, which is key for long term motivation… ”
