Are you in need of Portuguese language tuition in London or online? I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic Portuguese tutor with a background in languages and a passion for teaching. Coming from a trilingual family, I speak Spanish, Portuguese, and English fluently and hold a first-class BA in History with Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Leeds. After a decade-long career in law, I then changed profession to pursue my original love for languages. Having taught Spanish to secondary school students in London for three years and acted as a GCSE Portuguese speaking examiner within the school, I now focus on private tutoring full-time. Whether you're looking for formal public exam preparation or a tutor to practise everyday conversational skills with, I'm ready and willing to help. My hour-long lessons are designed to be an open and encouraging space in which students can practise and improve their language skills. I'm Victor, an incoming Master's student at Lund University and a native Portuguese speaker (Brazilian-Italian background), offering personalized lessons in both Brazilian and European Portuguese. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for travel, brushing up before a move to Brazil or Portugal, or working toward conversational fluency, I tailor each lesson to your goals, interests, and current level. Lessons can focus on conversation and pronunciation, grammar and sentence structure, vocabulary building, or the practical differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese — useful if you're not sure which variety to focus on. I bring a strong academic and professional background in writing and communication (including work as a cultural journalist and blog editor), which helps me explain grammar clearly and structure lessons that are genuinely useful rather than just following a textbook. As a multilingual speaker (Portuguese native, English C1, Italian C1, plus basic Spanish), I understand what it takes to learn a language well, and I keep lessons supportive, flexible, and paced to you. All levels welcome — from absolute beginners to advanced learners polishing fluency. My name is Nicolas, and I am a Brazilian Portuguese teacher with eight years of teaching experience. I have been speaking Portuguese for about ten years now. I learned the language while living in Brazil for several long periods, both for study and work. I am currently living there again. Having also gone through the process of learning to speak this language, I am well aware of the different stages my students go through. This helps a lot. My lessons are tailor-made to achieve personal goals and are adapted to the specific needs of each student. Practice is prioritized throughout the learning process in order to gain autonomy as quickly as possible. Grammar is also covered, depending on the student's level. This course is aimed at: - Beginners (basics, conversation, travel); - Intermediate/advanced learners (improvement, exam preparation); - Professionals (business Portuguese, interview preparation).
