In my classes, neither age nor skill level is a barrier to teaching musicality and guitar technique. My main objective is to reveal the student's intrinsic qualities naturally and progressively through the enjoyment of music, and the results are proven by the feedback from my students (and their parents). We can work with many different musical styles within classical music, exploring its various forms, musical languages, and sources of musical notation. We can also delve into popular musical styles such as flamenco (rumbas, fandangos, alegrías, sevillanas, etc.) and their different strumming patterns, scales, harmonic structures, and time signatures. Or we can explore the vast and fascinating world of early music through tablatures and manuscripts from the 16th century. Andrea has become a bit of a safety valve for me—often I have no idea how to teach or guide my daughter when she’s playing cello. The experience has been so helpful and makes the process run much more smoothly. Even with a language barrier (my daughter speaks neither English nor Spanish), Andrea finds ways to connect, and it’s clear how much my daughter looks up to her. When I signed my daughter up for an orchestra camp at the last minute—with only a couple of days to learn the pieces—Andrea was a lifesaver for both of us, and thanks to her, my daughter is able to go and make great memories. We’ve already had a couple of lessons with Andrea and hope to keep working with her. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

With a Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, Yimer is obviously very qualified but he also has a gift of teaching that is very effective in making progress on the learning journey. Part of this has to be in his patience and being a teacher that has a way of explaining things, both in English and Spanish, that make learning easier. I have had quite a few Spanish tutors over the years but Yimer, is clearly the best.

Ms. Mireya has the magic way to support and motivate my son to pass Philosophy class while his Spanish was still at B1 level. I don't understand Spanish, but I heard a lot of laughings while her online classes with my Son. My son told me one day, Mireya is a great teacher !
