I'm Aoife (Ifa), a Primary school teacher from Ireland, currently working as an Infantil teacher in Pozuelo.
Classically trained with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, from the age of 7-21, I am extremely skilled in playing various genres of piano as well as musical theory and music composition.
Dedicated, enthusiastic and encouraging, I have 6+ years of experience teaching children and teenagers (age 4-16). With every lesson and individual relationship, I aim to ensure enjoyment as well as thorough, good quality learning to last a life time.

- I can travel to your location after 4:30pm each evening, so your child/ relative can learn from the comfort of their own home.
- Lessons are 45 minutes due to the fact that 1-hour exhausts the learning process and decreases attention, concentration and enjoyment, and easily fits into your child's busy schedule. I have taught ample enough piano learning in 30-45 minutes, as each student is expected to practice their learning independently before consecutive lessons.
- I will teach musical theory (reading music), musical literacy (scales, exercises) and songs (sight-reading, songs chosen by student) according to each individual's learning level and needs.

Extra information

The first lesson will be an introduction to piano:
- exploring any interests/ questions & getting to know each other
- discovering the physical piano
- learning a short finger exercise for the right hand
- understanding how piano is played.

You will need:
- a small copybook (to track music theory)
- a ring-binder folder (for sheet/ song music which I will provide)

Each week, you will:
- develop finger strength through short exercises
- build on music theory/ reading music
- practice 1-3 songs (of your choice, or offered by me according to the learning level)

I will provide the finger exercises, sight-reading music sheets and songs, but if there is ever a song/ book you would like to try to read, we can include it in our lesson - I want each lesson to come from an area of enjoyment and interest, as this is what creates lifelong music learning and memory!

The most important thing for me is listening to music. If you are studying music as a hobby or in preparation for your professional career, we will help you achieve the greatest efficiency and get the most out of it by making our job easier. It is clear that learning music requires discipline and work, but can be interesting and expandable.

The flexibility lies in the main features of my classes: My goal for my graduates is that they need a digital method that they have to adapt to their personal attitude and style. The offer of classes for individuals and private groups of all students and the duration of the course are also flexible and depend on the training of the student (most of the little ones that Suelen was able to aprovechar in the last media lessons). Classes can be in Spanish, English, Dutch or Greek.

Language and music theory are presented in all classes, but in an organic form and with a lot of immersion in practice.

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I am a student of a Higher Degree in Singing (Jazz and Modern Music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (musical and linguistic) in the format of private classes online or at home.

I started giving private classes at home to children when I lived in Germany. During the 22-23 academic year I gave piano classes to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).
I studied the piano and other instruments for more than 15 years at the UGDA and at the Luxembourg City Conservatory of Music. After many years of music theory and piano I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatory, with the qualification "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

One of the most wonderfull string instrument is the cello. If you want to learn how to play cello or just to continue improving your skills do not hesitate to contact me.
I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy.

Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students.
I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels.
