Studied jazz musician gives saxophone lessons, focused on the joy of making music. You decide where to go.
I'm on stage full-time.
I am currently involved in a large number of projects with various musical styles. My references include an appearance on the Dutch television station L1mburg TV, as well as a concert on the public radio program NPO Jazz in the Netherlands, as well as appearances at various jazz festivals, including North Sea Jazz Rotterdam, JazzOut Limburg and the Göttingen Jazz Festival.
Music has accompanied me since early childhood.
I started playing the flute when I was five and the saxophone when I was nine.
After gaining a lot of experience in big bands, funk/soul bands, rock bands and other projects, my interests culminated in studying jazz and saxophone at the Maastricht Conservatory, which I successfully completed in 2021.
About the lesson:
It's not just about jazz. You determine the style of music. Whether pop, funk or soul, I'm open to everything.
Reflection is the be-all and end-all. I'll teach you music theory and everything to do with sax. The feel and the fun of making music is always the focus. You decide which direction we take. If desired, improvisation plays a major role. The course is suitable for all ages and levels. I take the time to adapt to you and to fulfill your wishes e.g. music style, direction etc..
The lessons take place in my own studio, at your home or online via webcam.
No saxophone or previous knowledge necessary.

About Me
I am a trained jazz musician and work full-time as a live performer. My passion for music began in early childhood: I started playing the recorder at the age of five and took up the saxophone at nine. I gained early stage experience in big bands, funk, soul, and rock groups before enrolling in the jazz and saxophone program at the Conservatorium Maastricht, where I graduated in 2021.
During my studies, I was taught by renowned musicians such as Reiner Witzel (former saxophonist for Udo Lindenberg, Marla Glen, Xavier Naidoo) and Claudius Valk (winner of the 2014 Neuer Deutscher Jazzpreis for best soloist).
Today, I perform regularly in a wide variety of musical projects and styles, appearing on both national and international stages. Highlights include performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival Rotterdam, JazzOut Limburg, the Göttingen Jazz Festival, Parkcity Live, Spetaculo, and many more. My work has also been featured on public radio and television, including NPO Jazz, Radio Benelux, and the Dutch broadcaster L1mburg TV.
In 2023, I completed additional training as a sound engineer at Renaissance Studio Cologne under Thorsten Rentsch, who has worked with artists such as Heino, the Kelly Family, BAP, Guildo Horn, and the Backstreet Boys.
