Singing & Vocal Technique with a Professional Opera Soprano – All Levels, from Beginners to Competition & Audition Prep
From 52 £ /h
From your very first lesson to the audition room, I help singers develop a beautiful voice that is free, secure and expressive.
My name is Maria Koroleva and I am a professional opera soprano with elite conservatoire training based in Cologne. I perform with Oper Köln and have sung at major opera theaters such as Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Opéra de Lille, Musiktheater Pforzheim and Amare Theatre.
My lessons combine secure vocal technique, refined artistic interpretation and practical performance psychology, giving you everything you need to sing with confidence.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

• More range, stamina and a voice you can rely on, even under pressure
• Stage confidence, with practical performance psychology I use myself
• Musicality, style and expression across different repertoire
• Repertoire chosen for your voice and goals: opera, oratorio, art song (Lieder) and musical theatre
• Focused preparation for auditions, competitions, conservatory entry and ABRSM exams

• Master of Music in Vocal Performance with Distinction, Royal College of Music, London

HOW I TEACH
Every lesson is built around you: your voice, your goals and your pace. I explain clearly why we do each exercise, so you understand your voice and can practise effectively between lessons. You'll leave each lesson knowing exactly what improved and what to work on next.
Whether you want to sing for joy, get ready for an exam or prepare for a career on stage, I'll help you get there with care, structure and professional standards.
Book your first lesson and let's discover what your voice can do. I look forward to hearing you sing!

About Me
I am a professional opera singer -soprano - with extensive stage experience at major European opera houses. I hold two Master of Music degrees in Voice and Opera — from the Royal College of Music in London and the Dutch National Opera Academy — both completed with distinction and supported by scholarships and excellence awards. I also hold a Bachelor of Vocal and Music Pedagogy from the Moscow University for the Humanities with honours.
I teach students at every level, from complete beginners discovering their voice for the first time to advanced singers preparing auditions for music college or conservatoire — an area I particularly specialise in, having guided students successfully through this process myself.
Lessons are available in English, Russian, or German.
My approach centers on proper classical vocal technique, tailored to each student's individual voice and goals. My biggest expertise lies in classical repertoire, though I'm also proficient in operetta, musical theatre, and pop genres. I'm a dedicated, goal-oriented teacher, and I take real pride in helping students work through vocal issues, open up their sound, and grow with confidence as musicians.
