I studied a 4-year bachelors’ degree in English Philology at the National University of Colombia. I’ve had six years of experience as an English teacher at schools and academies in Bogotá. Moreover, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in English teaching volunteerings in different schools in Czechia, an English academy in Turkey, and an ONG in Egypt.
I’ve worked with different group ages at different circumstances. Whether in schools and academies I ́ve taught children between 7 and 12 years old. I’ve also taught adults with the purpose of finding better jobs, better positions, studying, for business or simply as a hobby.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
4. Summary & Objectives: We end each session with a recap of the key points so that the student knows exactly what to revise.

What makes the difference: As a philosophy student, I don't just teach authors; I teach the methodology that allows students to think for themselves about major philosophical concepts.
