Fundamentals of Bicycle Repair - Fixing flat tires, adjusting brakes, and more

From 46.45 £ /h

Bicycles are the easiest way to get around Amsterdam. Chances are you can ride a bike, but a flat tire will bring your ride to a stop. Not only does taking your bike to a shop cost money, but the mechanic might not have your repair done for several days.

If you would like to do your own repairs, I am your guy! Besides working as a mechanic at bike shops , I have taught bicycle safety and held neighborhood repair clinics. Together we will cover fixing a flat tire, adjusting brakes, and a comprehensive safety check. Depending on your bike and your ambition, we will cover gears and the internal bearing systems!

Are you interested in Mexican food? Can you stand spicy flavors and don't mind getting your hands dirty? And do you want to eat in a way that is better for your health and the environment?

I'm a Californian of Mexican-American background, and during this lesson I will show you a basic recipe for making a full vegan taco spread, including: tortillas from scratch, salsa from scratch, and a filling.

Vivianne
Hi! My name is Vivianne. I have been living in Amsterdam for two years now and I do love this city! I'm originally Dutch and I have lived in several countries (different places in The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Peru). That feeling of entering a new city is amazing; all those new people, places and beautiful spots but it can also make you a bit insecure about your decisions. Did you choose the right studies or job? You moved for love but what's next? What about new friends? You're not alone, many people around you experience the same. Next to my own experiences, I work as Dutch teacher (Dutch as a second language) and therefore know how 'newcomers' experience their new life. I want to help people feeling happier and content with their decisions. I have a background in (international) marketing, languages and intercultural communication and due to this combination I have a depth intercultural understanding.

So, if you want to talk about...

- Your life in The Netherlands (e.g. studies, job)
- Your decisions (e.g. feelings, emotions regarding any subject)
- Your future plans (e.g. staying in The Netherlands, moving)

And want to feel...

- More confident in your studies / job
- Happier in your personal and social life
- More integrated in the Dutch culture

Without feeling a patient in need of an expensive psychologist/psychiatrist, feel free to contact me. We can have a short intake so you can tell me something about yourself and make a plan for further meetings.

If you're interested in Dutch lessons as well we could, of course, customize the sessions.
