I can either boost your English skills in general, or I can teach you how to prepare for your English/English literature classes. If you have issues with grammar, we can improve your speaking and writing skills.

Point is, we can completely tailor a session to your needs as I will not have too strict ideas on what should be taught - instead of me having a vision, I will let you have one and I'll help you manifest that vision.

Just let me know in the beginning what you want to achieve through working with me, and then I will do everything in my power to keep you on track and make that a reality.

About Me

I am a young working professional, currently situated in Budapest. I have done a lot of tutoring during my studies, so I am keen to put some of my free time after work to good use, and help those who are hoping to learn and/or improve their English language skills.

Education

High School: IB Diploma
Bachelor degree: 2013-2016 International Relations - specialization in European Integration (CUB, Budapest)
Masters degree: 2017-2019 International Crimes, Conflict and Criminology (VU, Amsterdam)

Experience / Qualifications

I have 5 solid years of tutoring experience behind me. It started during my IB (International Baccalaureate) years, which was an intensive 2 year program during my final high school years. The IB encouraged its brightest and most sociable students to engage in tutoring or helping younger students, who needed a bit of an extra boost to excel in their studies. I have also pitched in as a substitute teacher for English and History classes every so often, because it was quickly noticed among the teaching staff that I am good with children, and that I could easily improvise an hour's worth of class material, despite just being pulled out of my own class and not actually being prepared to substitute for anyone.

I then continued tutoring for the 3 years in which I was located in Amsterdam for my Masters degree. By chance it happened that I spent the most time with children, so kids from age 5-15, thus it is that age cohort I have most experience with.

I am entirely fluent in English, with a C2 Cambridge Language Exam as tangible proof should it be needed. I can also shift from an English to an American accent on demand, so should there be a preference for either, I can deliver. Also, I have experiences with International schools, so if you are in that system, I will know exactly what it's like to be in your shoes :)

I’ve now been working in the field of international relations for 4 years, using English as my main working language, so I’m completely fluent in the non-textbook material, too: how to write reports, letters, speeches, official emails, and such. If needed, I can help you improve your English for your daily office/work needs!
