About Me
I'm Onur, a musician and teacher based in Trondheim. I was drawn to the piano by the challenge of capturing orchestral richness in a single instrument. I studied various instruments which I believe improved my awareness of musical expression and timbre.
My teaching of piano technique is based on the Marie Jaëll's method, which uses scientific observation of movement and touch to build a relaxed, natural technique for expressive playing. I observe students' anatomical tendencies to help them build their own technique.
In addition to these approaches I integrate the requests of students as much as possible and arrange the pieces to an appropriate level to improve their motivation.

Education
I started my formal music training in classical guitar, acquired the music theory and basics under guitar department. I studied Music Theory and Composition at bachelor's level followed by stufies at post graduate level in Musicology. I leaned heavily on piano music and repertoire in my conservatorium years, this experience provided me the skills to analyse and implement various complex techniques on piano. In the following years I arranged and played pieces for solo piano, piano+vocal and a small band where I played accordion.
