I have been playing, performing and teaching music my whole life, I studied Jazz Saxophone at the conservatorium van amsterdam, but I am from Scotland.
I am a professional performing singer, saxophonist and i write and produce music. I am very experienced in improvisation, Jazz Theory, technique.
I perform all around the world at international festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Into the Great Wide Open, to name a couple and have performed with artists such as Candy Dulfer (Prince) as well as with my own band roseye.

About Me

I am a very friendly teacher, I want to help you find your own voice and expression within music. I have a big background in improvisation and technique so I can teach that, but ultimately I want to help you find what you enjoy within music.

I have 15 years of performance experience and come from a musical family so I know a lot about many different musical styles.

Education

I studied Saxophone, vocals, piano and music theory at St Marys Music School - Edinburgh Scotland - from age 8 to 16.
I studied at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Jazz Saxophone - from age 16 to 21.

I have a Bachelors degree in Jazz Saxophone from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have toured the world, performed in Australia, Ghana, Netherlands, Scotland, England, Switzerland, Germany, France, Portugal and many other places. I have been giving music lessons for the past 4 years and i also studied music education on my course.

Music is the best way of communication in the world, the most international language, and an easy way of sharing. Hi, I'm Federica, I am Italian, and I am a Jazz piano player and singer. I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and I just completed a master in Vocals and Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I give Jazz/Pop/Classical Piano lessons but my main goal is to try to give the student a general understanding of the music to approach every style and to have fun with music! I have been studying opera and classical singing since the age of 12, as well as jazz, choral, and musical theater singing. I have been performing in musicals since 2015.
These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music.

My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense.

The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. This way, I can adapt the classes to their personality and goals. I try to create a relaxed environment based on respect, trust, and a little humor, where everyone feels free and comfortable. We aren’t all born with the voice we wish we had, but we can all develop what we do have—and on that journey, singing becomes a way to know and accept yourself better.

And the third is the dedication and professionalism with which I approach this work, which I am truly passionate about.

All classes are divided into a warm-up and vocalization section, followed by work on a chosen piece suited to the student’s level and preferred style. Regardless of style or level, a foundation in classical singing will always be established.
