Master the Art of Drumming from Beginner to Professional!
From 36 £ /h
Drums are the back bone of any band or ensemble, determining the tempo, style and feel. But most importantly they're A LOT of FUN!
In my 4 years experience of drum tutoring, with at one stage teaching over 30 pupils per week, I have found that everyone learns differently. I ensure my lessons are unique to your way of learning, allowing you to progress quickly and love the process.
I cover all music theory for the drums from the start but also the art of improvisation to allow pupils to play freely and express their own style.

About Me
Hi!
I'm currently in my 4th year of studying a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast. However, drums and music have always been my passion; guitar was my first instrument of which I started age 11, however when I started drums aged 13 in secondary school it soon became my main passion. I came up through school playing with many different ensembles and was selected to play for Ballymena Chamber Orchestra at a young age, followed by playing for the Ulster Youth Jazz Orchestra as well as Musicals such as 'Les Miserables' and 'West Side Story'.
In the past 4 years I have been more heavily involved with bands & artists, featuring on Pamela Ballentine's 'UTV life' show and playing gigs and recording songs with some of the countries most exciting artists.
Throughout all this I have always been teaching and passing on my skills and knowledge gained. I always aim to keep my lessons fun, and adapt my technique to each individual. Lessons will have both music theory and reading skills, but I ensure improvisation is encouraged from the start as this is one of the most important skills when becoming a working drummer!
