Violin lessons / Antwerp / beginners to advanced
From 32 £ /h
I am a Belgian violinist from the Ardennes, in Wallonia. I have participated in numerous masterclasses in Belgium and abroad with teachers such as Emile Lavrenov, Liesbeth Baelus, Sylvia Huang, Bartlomiej Ciaston, Andrzej Grudzien, Caroline Poncelet, Lilia Umnova, and Guido de Nève. Drawing inspiration from various examples and broadening my horizons are among my most important goals.
In 2020, I joined Marek Kowalski's class at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where I obtained my bachelor's degree three years later. Afterwards, I studied for a year at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf in the class of Solenne Païdassi, after which I began my master's at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Alexei Moshkov and Aki Saulière.
I frequently participate in orchestral projects and tours, and also enjoy performing as a chamber musician at festivals and all kinds of concerts. I have made recordings with chamber music ensembles and orchestras, including for film music. I have also had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with an orchestra.
I have recently started developing my pedagogical skills, which I find extraordinarily interesting! I enjoy every meeting with a new student and find it fascinating to see the musical and personal development of each of them.
To further develop my teaching skills, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Didactics at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.

Extra information
For me, the most important thing is that music lessons take place in a welcoming atmosphere. I tailor my approach to the needs and wishes of each student, ensuring the learning process is personal and motivating. I enjoy combining learning to play the violin with teaching sheet music reading and music theory, so that students can fully immerse themselves in learning 'music' in the broadest sense of the word. I believe it is important to make my students independent from a young age by making them aware of their body movements, encouraging them to listen actively, and placing them at the center of their human and musical development.
Passing on my passion enriches me enormously and provides me with new skills as a musician. I enjoy organizing small concerts in the classroom to foster sharing and the joy of learning!
I mainly teach in French, English, and Dutch. There are no requirements, other than the desire to discover this beautiful instrument, the violin!
