Maths tuition for secondary students and Gsce students

Maths can be a very challenging and overwhelming subject. As a former secondary student I understand how difficult maths can be from year 7 all the way up to GSCEs. However, despite my struggle with maths, I was able to study effectively and hard enough to get a 9 at GSCE maths and I can help you do the same! However, even if you aren't currently in year 11 taking ur exams and rather just need a little extra help, you will be sufficiently aided in boosting your grades.

The class will include going over questions together, explanations of concepts, exam style assessments etc. You will receive the techniques and questions that helped me achieve my grades at GCSEs.

Extra information

Student should have all the basic maths equipment such as a: pen, pencil, calculator, lined or graph paper, ruler, protractor, compass. Lessons will last an hour and we will cover what you're currently learning in school and a step beyond that to really achieve high!!

role of a math tutor is to provide personalized and effective academic support to students in the field of mathematics. As an experienced and knowledgeable educator, a math tutor serves as a guide, mentor, and teacher to help students develop a strong understanding and proficiency in various mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. The key responsibilities of a math tutor include: Individualized Instruction: Understanding each student's unique learning style, strengths, and weaknesses to tailor lessons and exercises accordingly. This personalized approach ensures that the student receives targeted support and gains confidence in their mathematical abilities. Clarifying Concepts: Identifying areas where the student faces challenges and explaining complex mathematical ideas in a clear and comprehensible manner. The tutor breaks down concepts into simpler components, making it easier for the student to grasp and apply them. Practice and Reinforcement: Assigning relevant practice problems to reinforce the learning process. Regular practice helps students build their problem-solving skills, reinforces their understanding of concepts, and improves retention. Progress Assessment: Continuously evaluating the student's progress and identifying areas that require further attention. Regular assessments help the tutor adjust their teaching strategies and address any knowledge gaps promptly. Homework Assistance: Assisting students with their math-related homework and guiding them through problem-solving techniques. This support encourages self-reliance and ensures that the student can apply what they've learned in their school assignments. Test Preparation: Preparing students for exams, quizzes, and standardized tests. A math tutor equips the student with test-taking strategies and time management skills to enhance their performance in assessments. Motivation and Confidence Building: Encouraging and motivating students to develop a positive attitude towards mathematics. Building their confidence is vital in overcoming math-related anxiety and promoting a growth mindset. Communication with Parents or Guardians: Keeping parents or guardians informed about the student's progress, areas of improvement, and strategies for ongoing support at home. Collaborating with parents enhances the overall learning experience and fosters a supportive learning environment. Experienced Primary English, Maths and Science Tutor
I am an experienced Tutor who has been working in the Education industry for 8 years and have been tutoring for nearly 3 years. I am dedicated to ensuring that the children I work with continue to make accelerated progress in their learning. I begin with an initial assessment to identify areas of strength, weakness and optimum learning style. So that they can achieve expected levels and targets at the end of the year. I believe all children are different and therefore my approach varies depending on the child, their interests and what they need to be successful in their learning outcomes. Nonetheless, my approach is to create fun, stimulating lessons that engage children in all areas and support them to achieve their very best.

Vitalie
Maths, Physics for Champions . Trust your skills and let us develop them together
My name is Vitalie and i was in Moscow. Until the age of 10 i stayed there and then i moved to Romania to continue my studies. I took part in national science competitions and at the age of 15 i got into the Olympics. I continued to study Physics and Maths mostly by myself and i got enrolled at the Univerity of Bucharest Faculty of Physics for a BSc degree. I graduated four years later and then i decided to continue my master degree in London. During my early 20s, i got several different jobs, including tutoring kids at home and online in Maths and Physics. I've been gaining experience working with kids that needed help to keep up with the school requirements or just had some more questions and no one was able to help them. I even helped them to prepare for national exams so they can their GCSE and Baccalaureate test done. I tend to help the student to understand the ideea or the concept first and then move to solving execises or problems. I have always tried to give the student a clear and exact idea of the subject that we were discussing so that he can continue by himself to learn and adapt to new challanges for this school life. I try to adapt to the children's personality and his requirements so we can develop a plan in order to help him.

Reza
Tutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering courses
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). My extensive teaching experience covers a wide range of engineering courses, including: - Mathematics: algebra, linear algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics. - Mechanical Engineering: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, and more. - Physics: mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc. - CAD/CAM Software: Autocad, Solidworks. - Mechanical Design Packages: ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA. My research and teaching interests are diverse, including: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter. If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)
