Teaching GCSE maths to secondary school students, KS3 & KS4
From 19 £ /h
I am currently studying Mathematics with Finance and Economics at City University of London. I look to be a teacher in the future in a secondary school. So I want to start that journey by tutoring students KS3 & KS4 maths. I will be fully invested and determined when it comes to making sure my student is improving in maths. I will expect my student to gather and present to me what areas in maths they struggle in. They should also bring classwork and homework they struggle on. I will also go through some practice exam papers with them.

About Me
I am currently a student studying Mathematics with Finance and Economics at City University of London. I have previously achieved a grade A in A level math and a grade 8 for math at GCSEs. I am now looking to give lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 as it's something I'd like to pursue in the future for a career. I would describe myself as a determined and invested tutor who will do his best to make sure the student I am teaching will achieve their goal and their desired grade. The way I'd approach my lessons is by expecting the student to gather and tell me what they struggle with in math and we'll start from there. I'd ask them to bring classwork or homework they struggle on and I'd go over the parts they found difficult so that they're then able to understand and see where they've gone wrong or not be able to see what the next required step was in the problem. I will also go over some practice papers with them.
Education
I started primary school at Orchard Primary School achieving the highest grade in maths, a 6. Then went on to go to The City Academy Hackney and achieved 12 GCSEs including an 8 in maths. Then went to the school's sixth form, achieving a Grade A in maths. Now I'm studying at City University of London. I've always been successful at maths and enjoyed it.
Experience / Qualifications
I have been tutored maths for many years in secondary school and sixth form, so I know what is expected of me to deliver a good lesson to my student.
