I am a trained opera singer with 12 years of teaching experience as a choir conductor and vocal coach, and I continue to perform on the operatic and concert stage. The focus of this class is to learn healthy singing techniques which include breathing, support, posture, and vocalisation, I am happy to work with lyric, classical/pop and musical theatre repertoire - the fundamental techniques of singing are the same and we will be working towards establishing a good foundation so that you can understand your own instrument better.

The language of instruction will be mainly in English, but I am experienced in singing in English, German, Italian and French, so don't feel restricted by way of language as well. No worries if you are an absolute beginner - there is no age/gender limit or pre-requisite. Everyone has a voice, and I would love to help you find yours!

I am a first-language English speaker, with a bachelor degree in law from Singapore, a Masters Degree in Music (Distinction) and Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (Distinction) from Manchester, UK. I currently live in and sing with the opera studio in Biel, Switzerland, where I myself continue to further my skills and actively perform as a musician.

Christelle

With me you will have the opportunity to improve considerably in the area that you have gaps but especially to get the best grades in your class in this area because I raises the bar very high.

You will then realize the real abilities you have in the matter in which you have always thought you were execrable.

My classes will adapt to the person I teach because I have great flexibility. I can not therefore give a precise description as to the way I will give the course or its course. But one thing is certain, you will only have excellent grades in subjects that have always been a problem for you. I promise you!

Youssef

Final year student at the French Gymnasium in Biel. Throughout my schooling, I have always been asked by others to help them individually. They all underlined my pedagogy and my ambivalence of the subjects taught. Being someone who likes order and good work, I like to follow my students carefully by giving them regular homework and a provided follow-up of their progress. Having myself successfully passed the entrance exams of the French Gymnasium in Biel, I know how to explain the learning keys necessary for the success of all entrance exams for Cycles 2. I would like to point out that teaching is one of my passions that I cherish the most because I particularly like human contact and the sight of someone's success.

Tatiana

Being at HEP with the aim of becoming a teacher, I already want to start helping students with their homework in general.
I can also do additional activities with it to work on French and English in particular.
I want the student to feel comfortable with me and to dare to make mistakes without being embarrassed, since that is how we learn best.
I will help him in a good mood and adapt to him without worries.
I am used to working with young people, since my training is totally linked to that.
