Pascal, a competition-grade tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire, is my instructor. My one-on-one piano lessons have contributed to the development of a fundamental approach to piano playing, as well as a greater understanding of the styles of the repertoire from different eras and a greater sense of musicality. Hello!

I am a musician offering tutorials in piano, trumpet, cornet, harmony, counterpoint, theory, and other general music-y things in English! I’m also available to direct rehearsals and concerts.

I believe playing the piano should be fun and enjoyable, as it often has been for me. Whilst I give guidance on repertoire choice, I like students to decide and be passionate about which pieces they play.

Please contact me to chat about your/ your child’s musical goals and ambitions and to arrange a lesson. I am able to travel to homes and offices and have a flexible schedule to meet your needs! I have also taught over Skype in the past, where there’s the option of screen sharing, making it possible to demonstrate things on screen.

With over 35 years of experience, I have taught hundreds of students from very beginner to diploma. I teach in a relaxed and informal manner, but with high expectations. Lessons are taught singly. Students will play from sheet music, and I have a huge library of repertoire to draw from. I hold Qualified teacher status(QTS), Enhanced DBS Check, Master of Arts in Music Education and Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance (ABRSM: Piano) . I have been a Music teacher and a choir conductor for 18 years. I am based in Halesowen, have a passion for teaching and educating the young generation. In my teaching, I use different strategies to teach piano which are adjusted according to children's interests.
