Hi, I'm Katie!
I am a dedicated and extremely hardworking student who is passionate about helping others to find joy in learning. I also believe in teaching productive ways to learn and study, as well as exciting content. Exam technique and effective though processes are a huge part of my teaching. I aim to help students reach their full academic potential and personal development. I am a strong believer in making learning fun and accessible.

Education

I hugely improved my grades throughout GCSE courses, developing highly-effective techniques and a great understanding of all subjects. This has carried me through my pursuit of more in-depth A-Level subjects and enables me to be able to help other students to become better learners, understanding their subjects more.

I am a dedicated and hardworking student tutor specializing in chemistry, biology and physics for triple science GCSE exams. My goal is to help students find a passion for and understanding of science. I also encourage and advise on effective study/revision practices.

GCSE's can be a stressful time for students, with many different subjects. Some more likable and some that seem more of a chore. I am a tutor who is able to support during this important time. Currently studying Biological Sciences at the University of Brighton, I have excellent GCSE results and experience to help each student be successful.

I can help support in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English, however can also be a helping hand for any other questions in other subjects. I have a variety of resources to support my students, starting with a strengths and weaknesses self-evaluation to best support students. With a mixture of theory and practice exam questions, my students will be able to prepare for exams or complete homework confidently.

I am fully flexible and can commit to just an hour week to more when needed. Any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

Some students find studying for their GCSE Sciences a difficult time, and I would like to help! As someone who struggled themselves at the beginning of their studies, I understand particular techniques that different students will require in order to advance their knowledge. I worked hard to succeed in my GCSE’s, my A-levels, my degree apprenticeship (in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), and finally my current BSC Environmental Science course.

I will use a variety of tools and resources in order to help students boost their grades and actively engage them in their tutoring, and hope to show just how interesting science is!

I believe each student is capable of learning anything! if it is taught in an interesting way that engages the student, trying to understand the complexity of the topics will come easily.

I take each individuals learning strategy first in order for me to create a structure of tutoring that benefits the student before myself and takes the deadline into consideration (if there is one). I advocate time management and planning when studying so this will always be at the forefront of my lessons.

I am a neuroscientist who works with children in education settings, especially helping students who are vulnerable or disengaged. If demotivation is something you are struggling with while studying, I can help you find ways around that too.

My lessons are an accepting and open space. I welcome all people and curate my lessons for people with neurodivergence or learning difficulties too.

I can provide private tutoring to all ages. I am familiar with the IB system and can provide guidance and explanations to university students as well. , in English and Swedish and Arabic.

I am a funny?, compassionate, curious and creative person who believes anyone and everyone can learn and get good grades and accomplish their desired goals.

My main focus is always to motivate and build confidence in students so that they can do it all by themselves, because once you have belief in your confidence and knowledge in your hands, you can face any challenge and achieve positive results.
