Public Speaking Lessons: feel more confident in your own voice!

Work with me to improve your public speaking abilities in all contexts! I am a qualified Theatre Director who uses acting and performance techniques to help you build confidence speaking in public, and get you comfortable within your own voice and body.
Using my background in English Literature and writing, and my Masters in Drama Directing from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School; I will tailor classes to each students particular needs and goals. Working closely with students on textual clarity, vocal technique, nerves and confidence is my speciality.
You might need some 1-2-1 assistance with a particular speech, you might want some help working through nerves, or you might want to build your basic vocal abilities to be ready for any work context. Vocal training can help with so many things; even the ability to think on your feet or feel more like yourself when you are faced with a room of people to talk to.
I draw from a range of theatre practitioners such as Barbara Houseman, Katie Mitchell, Stanislavski and Misner, and enjoy employing vocal techniques to help gain clarity with text. I have 5 star feedback from pupils who say I am a very encouraging, calming and fun person to work with.

Originally from Scotland, I have worked in a variety of roles within the creative arts with both adults and children. I've taught youth theatre workshops to improve acting skills and assisted on several professional productions, mostly in contemporary writing.
