Private tuition in English Language and Literature. For those students preparing for exams I like to take a syllabus-based approach while also allowing time to further explore any specific areas of personal interest the student may have. If a student is not working towards exams but requires private tuition, my aim is to approach the English subject enthusiastically and broadly, highlighting the vast range of approaches that students can take towards discovering new topics, practising new learning techniques and exploring their own personal interests within the subject in the most educationally enriching way possible.
If a student is having difficulties at school I believe I have the skills and personable approach to transform their learning into discovery and demonstrate this process to be appealing and exciting. Learning should never seem like an obstacle. Instead it should be seen as something that enlightens a student to their own potential.

Piano lessons for children and adults of all ages, whether learning for fun or working towards completing exam grades!

If your aim is to learn for enjoyment I will approach piano repertoire broadly and enthusiastically with you, highlighting the vast range of piano repertoire available to you. I will help you discover the piano, learn solid technique and explore your own personal interests.

If you want to enter for piano exams, with seven years of experience in preparing students for both Associated Board and Trinity piano exams I can help you work your way up the grades while making the process enjoyable and enriching. You will learn repertoire that plays to your strengths and enables you to explore any stylistic preferences you may have.

May 2026: academic IELTS online and in person in London for university entrance and general IELTS for visa application. Average "grade" after 3 months (fact): 6.50 points. Summer courses for English as a Foreign Language focusing on grammar and speaking. Preparation for Life in the UK test - cultural and historical facts which will help you with the pub quiz besides worthier pursuits. For English I expect students to be literate and to be over 11 (age of secondary school admission in England). I don't tutor "groups". One-to-one is the mode of work, occasionally two in a class. You will be encouraged to develop your own academic or cultural interests (based on European culture) and do a presentation per class unless a test has priority. You will be writing a whole paper (IELTS) for each module as homework, paying particular attention to the written paper for graphs and charts and essay construction. Each lesson will involve revision of what was covered in the previous lesson. Learning by heart is encouraged!

I've completed my GCSEs a little over a year ago , I'm on here to fund myself in the future (primarily university) .
I've averaged above an A (above grade 7) overall with recent experience and am still attending sixth form . Because of this I'll be able to easily relate to and figure out the needs of my tutee as I was in their position not too long ago .
I myself studied based on topic rather than necessarily textbooks , this means that I can make due with any textbook or other material (this accounts for difference in exam boards).
I can teach a concept from the ground up , or to solidify knowledge on topics as well as teach the basic principles for understanding the topic in the first place . I'm especially good at understanding and taking advantage of mark schemes to maximise grades , despite if the topic is completely unbeknownst to you . Though this seems minor , this tactic means you'll almost never score zero marks on a question . Ergo : if you can do half of the questions on a 100 mark test you'll get around 50 marks (high C to low B grade , grade 5 to 6) however even without understanding the rest it's easy to get at least another 15 marks up to around 25 (you usually cannot get over half marks without getting close to the answer , which is why half the remaining marks is a typical maximum) putting your grade up to to a minimum of a strong B or a maximum of a solid A (min of a grade 6 and max of grade 8) all of which requires minimal work which you won't forget . In English a similar thing can be done with punctuation , so long as you use a type of punctuation once ; you can score easy additional marks and get more marks on other criteria due to the examiner's bias . This is my forté .

I am a tutor with 7+ years of experience teaching at a variety of levels from primary school to GCSE level. Lessons start at 1 hour in length, with longer lessons available if required. Lessons are structured according to the needs of the student; this can be working alongside their class syllabus to support them with progress at school, tackling an area or subject they are specifically struggling with, or helping them prepare for national exams such as GCSEs.

I provide feedback after every lesson and detailed progress reports every six months for each student.

I primarily offer online lessons as I have found this works well for me and my students, but in some cases I do teach face-to-face depending on location and availability within London.
