My name is Achille, I am 28 years old and I study jazz drums at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Brussels.

From September 2023 I will be teaching at the Conservatory of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

I am Thijs (30) an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatory in Ghent. In addition, I have followed masterclasses and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups.

My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. If you've been eager to get better in jazz music and therefore studying all its different styles and drummers, I can help you for sure!
Particularly, I've studied in deep Tony Williams' and Elvin Jones' playing, so if you really want to improve that kind of vision and sound I can give you some great hints such as transcriptions, analysis, sound strategies and many video materials.
Also, I am specialized in Funk/Hip-Hop music and that kind of groovy world. So, I've been mastering a specific approach to this genre as well.
