Creative Drum Lessons, For Students Who Want to Go Deeper. Beginners, intermediate and Advanced levels
From 51.8 £ /h
I am a professional drummer, composer, and performer based in Brussels, with an active career in jazz, improvised, and creative music across Europe.
Whether your background is rock, pop, world, indie, or anything else, we focus on what serves your music, and on what learning this instrument can become. My goal is not to tell you strictly how things should be done, but to help you find your own way of doing them. To strengthen the musician that already exists inside you, and give you the tools to grow with confidence and independence.
I offer private drum lessons focused on long term development rather than isolated sessions. My work with students is based on regular weekly lessons, helping each drummer build solid technique, musical awareness, sound, and a personal voice in the instrument.
These lessons are for:
- Beginners who want a strong and musical foundation
- Intermediate players who want to improve groove, coordination, and confidence
- Creative musicians interested in improvisation, sound, and advanced rhythmic development.
My approach is practical and human. We work on what you really need, from basic technique and time feel to more advanced topics like independence, phrasing, and creative practice methods.
I mainly work with students who are interested in continuity and real progress through regular lessons.

Extra information
I teach in a studio in the center of Brussels. To start, I usually propose a first lesson to understand your level, goals, and musical background. From there, we build a simple and clear plan for regular weekly lessons.
I mainly work with students who are interested in continuity and long term progress. Weekly sessions are highly recommended to really develop technique, confidence, and musical identity on the instrument.
If you are looking for serious, inspiring drum lessons and want to commit to your growth as a musician, I would love to work with you.
For very young students, the teaching approach can be slightly different. I always discuss this with the parents in advance, so we can adapt the lessons to what works best for the child.

About Me
I’m a drummer, composer, and performer based in Brussels, and most of my life happens around making music on stage, in rehearsals, and in creative projects across Europe.
Since the age of 14, my musical journey has been wide and diverse, shaped by a mixed background in pop, rock, jazz, world music, and many other contexts. One day playing with a pop artist in front of 20.000 people, the next day exploring strange and experimental music in a small venue with ten tickets sold. One day recording rock music in an underground studio, another day premiering contemporary music in a chamber music setting. This has been my reality for years.
Over time, I have naturally moved more and more toward spontaneous and creative music (whatever it means), but I carry with me this broad and diverse experience. That is what allows me to teach drums without being tied to one specific style or aesthetic, and to meet each student through their own musical taste and needs, or even help them discover their own path.
Whether your background is rock, pop, world, indie, or anything in between, we focus on what serves your music, and on what learning this instrument can become. My goal is not to tell you strictly how things should be done, but to help you find your own way of doing them. To strengthen the musician that already exists inside you, and give you the tools to grow with confidence and independence.
This makes my lessons for people who not only want to play drums, but also want to understand music more deeply, sound, time feel, rhythm, musical awareness, body awareness, and what it really means to grow as a musician.
Don’t get me wrong, you don’t need to become a professional musician to study with me, far from it. What matters to me is that you share a genuine interest in music and the joy of learning at your own pace. That in itself is a skill, and it’s something I can help you develop.
I work best with students who are curious, motivated, and ready to invest in themselves. If you are looking for quick tricks and fast results with little effort, I might not be the right teacher. If you are looking for a place where your playing can gradually evolve at your own level, this is exactly what we will work on together. I don’t follow one fixed method, I create a personal approach adapted to you, taking into account your strengths and your limitations, even when they are not strictly musical.
Whether you are just starting or already experienced, my lessons will feel natural and personalised. You will learn how to practice your instrument in a balanced way, working with your limitations and gaining new, evolving skills every week.
