About Me

Pianist and harpsichordist, I have been passionate about pedagogy for a very long time. I use a varied methodology and I adapt to the rhythm and character of each student.

Education

After completing my Artistic Humanities in Serbia, I continued my education in Italy, at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory (Trieste) where I obtained a bachelor's degree in piano in 2011. My passion for baroque music then took me to Brussels where I obtained a Master's degree in harpsichord in 2015. In 2018 I also obtained my Pedagogical Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

I started giving instrument lessons 10 years ago and since then I have taught in several establishments (academies, private music schools, secondary schools). I also pursue a concert activity and perform regularly in Belgium and France.

Being highly skilled in sight-reading, I have often realized how valuable and enjoyable it is to possess that “gift.” After more than ten years of teaching students of different levels and aspirations, I have observed a common thread: regardless of their goals, all were eager to improve their ability to read and interpret new, unfamiliar music.

Currently, I am developing a multifaceted approach designed to help students understand a composition at first sight. This method combines specific pattern recognition and structural score-mapping, anchored in a fundamental understanding of rhythm, pitch, and harmony, together with highly effective practice and memorization strategies personalized to each student's needs and technical challenges.

For over ten years, I have been teaching students of all ages and levels. In addition to regular lessons, I offer the opportunities to perform at the yearly class concert as well as dedicated preparation for ABRSM piano examinations.

I'm a pianist with extensive performing experience on international stages and a first-prize winner of more than 30 international piano competitions across Europe and USA. I hold a Master's degree and four Postgraduate degrees (piano and chamber music) from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

Hi! I’m Lucia, classical cellist from Madrid. I studied with international te known teachers as N. Shakhovskaya and D. Geringas, and I was working in Spain with the Spanish Radio TV orchestra, Spanish National Orchestra, OSPA, and contemporary music ensemble Plural Ensemble. In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.
