Tutoring in Natural Sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics – Up to the 4th year of Secondary School
I offer tutoring in Natural Sciences (NTW), Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for students from the first grade up to the 4th year of secondary school. My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on a deep understanding of the material and the development of essential skills. We go through the subject matter step by step, always taking the time to review the basic principles when necessary.
During the lessons, we work with the materials provided by the school, such as textbooks, assignments, and tests. This ensures that the tutoring aligns perfectly with the school curriculum and helps the student prepare effectively for upcoming tests or exams. I also offer additional support for specific tasks and exam preparation, so that each student can be optimally prepared.
It is important that you bring your tests and course materials so that we can work together on preparing for your exams and strengthening the areas where you are struggling.

About Me
Hello! I am Zakaria, an enthusiastic and dedicated student with a great passion for learning, teaching, and guiding young people. For several years, I have been happily tutoring students from the first grade to the sixth year of secondary school. What drives me is not just transferring knowledge, but especially the moment when a student says, “Ah, now I really get it!”My approach:
Every student learns differently. That’s why I tailor my lessons to the needs and pace of the student. With a personal, patient, and clear approach, I focus on understanding, structure, and confidence. We work with concrete examples, practice together step by step, and review the basics when necessary to build a solid foundation.
What I offer:
I offer tutoring in various subjects, depending on the student's needs. Whether it’s daily support, homework help, preparation for tests or exams, or strengthening areas of weakness — I am here to help.
Why choose me?
✔ Experience with students of all ages (primary and secondary education)
✔ Clear and structured explanations, aligned with the school curriculum
✔ Focus on building confidence and making learning enjoyable
✔ Always professional, with a warm and motivating approach
Education
My educational background is diverse and has provided me with a solid foundation in various disciplines. In the first stage of secondary education, I chose Latin, followed by Sciences-Mathematics in the second stage. I eventually graduated in Modern Languages and Sciences.
Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and training to become a teacher, where I continue to develop and refine my pedagogical skills.
This broad academic path enables me to understand and teach a wide range of subjects, and I am committed to sharing my knowledge and passion with others.
Experience / Qualifications
With my extensive experience in providing private tutoring to students from the first year of primary school up to the fifth year of secondary school, I am able to offer personalized support to each student.I adapt my teaching approach to the individual needs of the learner, helping them not only to understand the material but also to build confidence.
In addition, I have taught in several schools, including in Antwerp and Vilvoorde, where I further refined my teaching skills and gained valuable insight into everyday educational practice. This experience enables me to work effectively both in the classroom and in one-on-one settings.
From a young age, I have also worked as a youth mentor, where I developed patience and a deep understanding of the needs of young people. I know how to support, motivate, and help them reach their full potential.
I offer personalized math lessons for students from elementary school to 4th grade of secondary school, with a pedagogical approach tailored to each student. My goal is to make students understand the material in depth, not just memorize it.
I offer private Dutch lessons for students from 1st grade of elementary school to 5th grade of secondary school, with a pedagogical approach tailored to each student. My goal is to ensure a thorough understanding of the material, so that each student masters the essential rules and skills in Dutch.
I base my lessons on the exercise books, homework, and lessons provided by the school, ensuring consistency with the school curriculum and optimizing the effectiveness of the private lesson. We focus directly on what the student needs to master, while taking the time to review the basics if necessary.
Additionally, I offer specific help for exam or assignment preparation. Whether it’s final exams, midterm tests, or projects to be submitted, I am here to guide the student in their preparation and give them the best chance of success.
I tutor geography and history for students from the first to the sixth year of secondary school. During the lessons, understanding, structure and insight are central. Together we will look for what exactly you need to better understand and apply the subject matter.
The lessons are tailored to what you get at school, using your course, tests, assignments or textbooks. In addition, I am also happy to help with preparing for tests, exams and assignments, so that you can get started with more self-confidence and knowledge.
I provide tutoring for all subjects, from primary school (Grades 1-6) to the 5th year of secondary school. This includes subjects such as mathematics, Dutch, biology, chemistry, physics, French, English, culture, behavioral sciences, and more. Maths and physics lessons from high school to university's master levelI believe that everyone is capable of learning anything, provided that the quality of explanations is customized to fit their unique way of thinking. My approach is centered around cultivating empathy and gaining a profound insight into how my students' minds function. Through my experience, I have learned that there are no inherently difficult topics or subjects; a teacher can make any concept understandable by presenting it in a manner that aligns with the individual's cognitive framework.
Maths and physics may not be considered easy subjects by some. However, I hold a different perspective. As an educator, my objective is to accomplish effective communication that fosters a genuine comprehension of the subject, using numerous real-life cases and examples.

CHEMISTRY/SCIENCE/MATHS-(MYP plus Berlin School Programme) to an age range of 11 to 19 years, and from 2021-date, focusing on online prepI taught in the UK from 2002 to 2007, initially as a supply teacher, then as a full-time teacher of Maths, Science and Chemistry and from 2007 to 2021 in Berlin Germany, teaching IB Chemistry, Science (MYP plus Berlin School Programme) to an age range of 11 to 19 years, and from 2021-date, focusing on online prep for students preparing for International Baccalaureate (IB) mock and May Exams vis-a-vis IB internal Assessment (IA).
Over the past years I have worked hard at adapting my strategies for teaching to incorporate different ideas and ‘best practice’ highlighted in recent developments in Science education. I have attended Key courses as well as departmental sessions on identifying which National Curriculum levels students are functioning at and how to help them to progress in their learning.
As a Science/Chemistry specialist, I have done all in my power to uphold students’ passion in the subject, and I have had a good number of my students expressing their gratitude. In 2009 I received the International Baccalaureate (IB) Chemistry Trained Teacher Certification and batches of IB Chemistry students have graduated successfully. My time as IB Chemistry(plus MYP and as online) teacher(2009-date) has produced Internal Moderated Assessment(IA) scores as high as 23 out of 24.
I see myself as a very successful Science Teacher with very high hopes for the future. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I really enjoy trying out new ideas to help motivate and engage students and to help them to learn about Science. I believe that it is important that my students enjoy their lessons and feel able to participate, so I try to develop positive teacher-pupil relationships and use a range of strategies to enable them to interact both with their fellow students and with me.
