J’ai fait mes études universitaires de philologie allemande, espagnole, italienne et « Sprachlehrforschung » (Stratégies d'apprentissage et didactique des langues étrangères) dans 3 pays différents : Allemagne, Chili et Italie.
J’ai commencé à travailler en 1990 comme professeur d’allemand et d’espagnol pour adultes à Florence, Italie, et depuis 1992 en Belgique. J’ai donné des cours dans différentes entreprises belges et étrangères pour des niveaux allant de A1 jusqu’à C2.
Depuis 1993 j’enseigne l’allemand et l’espagnol au Parlement européen. Je donne des cours privés, en groupe, à la carte et pour entreprises.
Je parle aussi l’italien, le français et l’anglais et j’ai des connaissances passives du néerlandais.

My mother is German, my father was half-Chilean, half-Spanish. I grew up bilingual, immersed in both languages and cultures.
I studied German, Spanish and Italian philology and “Sprachlehrforschung” (Language Teaching Research) in three different countries: Germany, Chile and Italy.
I began to teach German and Spanish to adults in 1990 in Florence, Italy. Having moved to Belgium in 1992, I have been teaching the two languages to adults here ever since. I have given lessons in several Belgian and multi-national enterprises at levels A1 (beginner) through to C2 (expert).
Since 1993, I have been working as a German and Spanish teacher for the European Parliament in Brussels.
I also speak Italian, French and English and have a working knowledge of Dutch.

The courses offer to acquire solid tools to learn to write, to comment on literary texts and a methodology to work on oral comprehension. The student must bring their own exam preparation brochure, available in all bookstores. For Goethe Institute model exams, the exam books from Cornlesen are particularly suitable. The other alternative would be to download and print before the start of the course a copy of the Goethe Institute exam available on the institute's website.

For the oral comprehension:

Work from audio-visual viewings downloaded from the Deutsche Welle site, which offer various recordings adapted to all levels, with a very concrete approach. In the long term, the student acquires ease not only in oral comprehension, but also enriches his basic vocabulary through exercises. I also work on the Goethe Institut oral tests to familiarize myself with speaking.

For the work of the written expression:

I begin by explaining in the first lesson some methodological tools to acquire writing skills. The student has the opportunity to start writing during the course or do a writing exercise on duty and give it to me to correct (send by email or at the beginning of the next lesson). The corrections are explained in detail. In addition, at the time of booking, the student can send me a draft copy before the lesson so that I can meet his needs even more quickly.

Apart from my presence with the student, every lesson involves preparation time before and after the lesson, particularly for the work that I correct. My goal being to design an individualized course, I take the time necessary to write detailed comments on corrected work or advice to ensure maximum success for everyone.
