About Me

I am a recently graduated sixth form student. I studied maths, further maths, physics, and computer science at Hills Road Sixth Form College.

I have been giving regular private maths lessons since July 2019 to students ranging from year 8 to first year at university. In total, I have taught around ten students.

Experiences and Achievements:
- Tutoring Experience – 2018-current year: in 2018 I led and created a programming club at Chesterton Community College targeted at year 10 students; the club aimed to help students with their problem solving and programming skills. in 2019 I took part in the Math Mentoring Scheme at Sawston Village College organized by Hills Road Sixth Form College. This scheme was targeted at year 11 students and involved one-on-one sessions. Currently, I am a self-employed maths tutor giving lessons to students ranging from year 8 to first-year university students. Sometimes the lessons focus on expanding the student’s mathematical skills and other times it focuses on boosting the student’s grade for their maths GCSE or A-Level.
- UK Senior Maths Challenge – 2018: I achieved a gold certificate and gained the opportunity to participate in the Senior Kangaroo Challenge.
- Physics Olympiad AS Challenge – 2019: I achieved a silver certificate. Which was only achieved by 8.4% of the 3000 students taking part.

I am an economics graduate from Durham University looking to help teach people about mathematics and how it applies to real life.

I am available to teach mathematics up to A-Level standard and can also help with any questions that students have.

I have tutored Maths up to GCSE levels for the past 4 years in London and would love to continue doing so now that I have moved to Cambridge. I have helped my students regain confidence as well as improving their test performance. I offer to help with homework, bring extra exercises and support the students throughout exam prep.

I would like to help with middle school and high school level (GCSE, A-levels and IB) mathematics and physics tutorials. I am happy to provide full lectures with solved examples, help with homework, give feedback and answer student's questions on the school syllabus or even beyond the syllabus, when I can be of assistance. I am a PhD candidate in Biostatistics PhD at Cambridge. My first integrated Master's degree in Mathematics was carried out at Imperial College London, having received my diploma in 2021. I offer support and in-depth courses in maths for high school and college students, from the French and English system (up to Bac or up to GCSE).

Having passed a Bac S Spé maths mention very well in 2017, and having followed students of the new Bac for the past two years, I am very comfortable with the recent programs of high school subjects. In addition, I have had experience in private lessons for 3 years, having followed in particular students from CE2, CM1, and from 4th to final, but also experience in childcare and teenagers. The students have all made progress after my follow-up.

My teaching method consists of doing my best to make my students appreciate and understand the subject concerned, by going back to the teachers' lessons but with a calmer approach, based on standard exercises or annals for future graduates, to facilitate the assimilation of the course.

My classes can vary from regular homework help to exam preparation. We will focus on the exercises and the annals; the study of math is like that of an instrument, you have to practice a lot and regularly.
