With years of experience as a Teacher facilitating Art to children of all age groups in an inclusive education system in India comes a belief that ‘for creating Art, one has to go beyond the limitations of its technical terms’. Drawing, as a tool, freehand or controlled is the first step in a creative process.

As an art facilitator, one of my greatest strengths is identifying the unique traits and interests of the learner's creative selves. Introducing learners to varying mediums and encouraging them to develop their distinct language in art expression is a way I make the art practice an enriching experience.

About Me
I am a Visual Artist, Art Educator, and Curator. Subjecting ‘Human emotions and Psyche’, I have participated in group exhibitions in India and the most appreciated one is ‘Frau’ on International Women’s Day in 2016. I have also Curated an exhibition ‘Positioning of Women Film Makers in Indian Film Industry’ in 2014 and co-Curated another exhibition ‘Exploring Art is the State of Encounter’ in 2019.
Working with scarp for my Graduation show at London Met made me think critically about the impact of human actions on the environment, and the project ‘Dhakai Jamdani The Pride’ funded by Historic England, led me to dig deep into examining the importance of ‘sustainability’ in the traditional art practices in India.
Constantly evolving my practice through medium and scale, I am fascinated with exploring materials and Traditional Indian art practices, focusing on the dynamics of the structural fabric of human, culture, nature, and environmental interconnectedness.

Apart from being one of the oldest forms of self-expression, drawing and painting is scientifically proven to enhance brain function, raise serotonin levels, relax the nervous system and therefore improve our general well-being. Watercolor painting is particularly therapeutic as we explore the properties of watercolors through mark-making techniques which we can later apply in our more elaborate paintings. Even if you are a complete beginner with a 'can't do' attitude, I will guide you through the process of selecting a subject, doing an initial sketch, mixing colors, and applying some of the techniques we explored in the first stages of our class.

At present, I only offer outdoor sketching and painting sessions around London parks and green spaces. It's also a very enjoyable way of appreciating nature while learning a new skill. I will help you set up your easel if you are using one and help you set up for a successful outdoor session. When working outdoors weather conditions are often not ideal, wind, rain, too hot, too cold..etc. I will help you work with the elements which might just produce some of your best work as you work faster and more freely. There is nothing like capturing the atmosphere of a place on location. By working en plein air you are also telling a visual story of the place.

Ideal for visual storytellers, illustrators, bloggers, or anyone interested in gaining more confidence painting on location. I recommend a minimum of 2-hour session. Longer sessions can be arranged also.
Sessions can be booked in advance.

I am an oil pastel lover who turns to this medium again and again — when I’m happy, tired, bored, overwhelmed, or simply longing to be surrounded by colour. Oil pastels have accompanied me through many moments of life, always offering comfort, freedom, and expression.

Every time I paint with oil pastels, I find a sense of relaxation and inner peace — something increasingly precious in our fast-paced world.

Oil pastels are, to me, a truly magical material. They can be firm or soft, bold or delicate, layered or blended. With just your hands and simple tools, they invite both control and spontaneity, making them perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.

In an age where AI can generate endless images, I believe deeply in preserving the human act of creation — the joy of touching materials, playing with colour, and allowing emotions to flow through the hands. Painting is not just about making images; it is about reconnecting with ourselves.

I believe everyone has the ability to create art. Everyone has their own sense of colour, rhythm, and expression.

**** What you will learn in this class ****
🖼️ Essential oil pastel techniques (layering, blending, texture, and composition)

🎨 Colour combinations and how to develop your own colour language

🖌️ Creative approaches to painting freely and intuitively

🧘 How to use painting and colour as a tool for relaxation, emotional release, and self-care

This class is suitable for beginners and intermediate learners. No prior art experience is required — only curiosity and openness!

**** Materials ****
In-person sessions: All materials are provided, including oil pastels, paper, masking tape, and palette knives. Just bring yourself.
Online sessions: Materials are not provided, but I will guide you in advance on what to prepare and how to use simple and accessible supplies.

In our sessions, we don’t just paint — we explore, connect, and gently listen to our inner world.

I look forward to sharing this colourful, calming, and meaningful journey with you!
