I am a University of Cambridge researcher with the Master's of Architecture & Urban Design program. I have worked internationally as an educator; teaching undergraduate classes at Cambridge on portfolio development and research technique, and also coordinating the Design Thinking curriculum at UWC ISAK Japan. In addition to teaching I have worked in admissions at the University of Cambridge, interviewing prospective students and assessing their research proposals for both originality and academic value. In my teaching I synthesize my experience as a designer and knowledge of the university admissions system to provide you with comprehensive advice on how to optimally present yourself as a prospective student - both academically and personally. Previous students I have worked with to improve their portfolio and personal presentation skills have gone on to join the University of Cambridge and a variety of prestigious London universities from University College London to the Royal College of Art. I have over seven years experience tutoring in the UK as well as various European countries. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing. For help with writing: The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling. Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.
