My name is Carmen, and I am a certified early childhood educator and TEFL instructor from the United States. I have a wide variety of teaching and tutoring experiences in the United States, China, and through online learning platforms. I conduct both my group tutoring sessions and private lessons in the comfort of your home/work space, and completely in English to create a fully-immersive environment for learning regardless of English level. My goal is to make them progress, I would give them sometimes small homework, without overloading them with work.

Having followed an accelerated training in applied foreign letters in English, at the Sorbonne, and a Luxury Marketing bachelor in English, I decided to share my experience through English courses.

Depending on the student's needs, I could help him learn the language effectively and practically. According to his school program or his learning support, I would give theoretical lessons of grammar and conjugation according to the level of the student, followed by exercises. I would also work on vocabulary, by reading interesting and fascinating texts for the student, and translation. Finally, I will help the student to express himself in English, to practice his oral skills, work on his accent and his fluency in speaking.

Following the covid-19 epidemic, many students were unable to access regular education, and especially pedagogy linked to the distance between the student and the teacher. Some surely had a hard time hanging onto the different courses, which had an impact on their curriculum and the knowledge they could have acquired.

This is why I offer myself as a private tutor at home during the summer vacation period, to help those who are late or who wish to deepen certain course concepts in order to better understand them for the 2020-2021 school year.
