About Me

From the young age of 4 until 17, I was taught using the Suzuki method. A method that cultivates learning through listening to the music and then recreating on their instrument. To be able to play an instrument well, is how well someone can listen and have an open mind for learning and taking useful criticism to develop. This can then be transmitted into your daily life outside of music.
As a teacher I want to cultivate this learning environment whilst teaching practical skills such as sight reading, theory, improvisation and composition.
Music is filled with emotion and story telling which is the most exciting thing. As a teacher, I want to be able to pass my passion for music onto others.

Bachelors degree in Piano Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Masters degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (completed 1st year)

I'm a Suzuki trained piano player who learnt Kodaly from the age of 5 years old. Some singing may be used in lessons to help with the student's ear training.

Hi,

My name is Can. I've been teaching guitar for 28 years at all levels. If you want to learn to play the most useful and popular instruments in the music world you can join my lessons.

You can play almost all kinds of genres with the guitar. It is the only string instrument which is really polyphonic. The guitar is like an orchestra. Every instrument of the orchestra is inside the guitar but in a smaller sound size. It has many different colors, many different timbres.

Besides teaching this awesome instrument I will also teach you using the programs that help to improvise, recording, and making music. I will give you books, etudes to develop your speed and precision in a short time. After being advanced we will study different genres like rock, blues, jazz, improvisation and solo transcriptions.

Originally from Australia from Italian parentage, I lived in the UK for 31 years before settling in Denmark.
Music has been the centre of my life and I love having the privilege of being able to share it in as many ways possible.

With many years of solo concert experience and over 25 years of teaching experience, I am offering limited slots for anyone wishing to learn piano either from scratch or to the highest level of performance. Do not fear, Yvette (she/her) is here to help! With my classes, not only will you learn to play with ease, you will also be able to crack the code of music, so you will understand how notes, chords, rhythm and music theory relate to each other. You will no longer be simply playing through mindless memorization or repetition. You will also learn how to listen to yourself and recognize when you have played well, and when you have made mistakes.
Although I am classically trained, I started guitar playing rhythmic music, such as nirvana and the beatles, and I still have a deep understanding of the style and have taught it for years. I aim to teach guitar the right way, without taking short cuts that limit knowledge and development later on. I have a personalised approach to each student, refusing to force them to play exactly as I do, but helping them to refine their own innate technique. To that end, I create my own exercises for my students, compiling the best from the existing literature, and am working to creating my own guitar method book.

The kanun is an instrument of the zither family, used historically in various cultures including Arabic, Armenian, Turkish and Greek. I am a professional performer and hold a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the University of Ioannina (Greece), specializing in the kanun.
In the lesson we will be focusing on technique, repertoire (mainly Greek and Ottoman), makam theory and elements of taksim improvisation. The level and pace of lessons will completely adapt to the needs and interests of each student.

Hi there!

My name is Darius , I am from Germany and I am studying my Master's at the Rythmic Music Conservatory in "Music Performance".

I've been playing the piano since the age of 5 years and I started teaching when I was 14 years old. I have experience teaching all levels, including young childres (>6) and adults of all age - teaching privately and in music schools ever since.

I can offer basic to intermediate teaching in classical related and pop related piano / keyboards. Having a jazz background myself I can offer jazz lessons from basic to expert which might include preparing for auditions. I am very open to the interests of my students, but my only requirement is to take some time for people call "practising" - or just making yourself a nice time with music :)

I also offer other music related teaching in music theory, "ear training", production etc. on all levels.

I believe that we should do stuff that you're interested in. Maybe you'd like to learn this beautiful classical piano piece? Or you would like to play jazz piano? Or you'd like to accompany yourself on the piano? Anything is possible :)

I also believe that lessons should not be work that you need to do or be good at... For me it's all about fun, creativity, imagination, and taking a break, relaxing, expressing, listening, experiencing, getting more sensitive.. enjoying music both listening to it and playing it yourself :)
