About Me
Hi,
My name is Rauteeba I'm currently a Law student at the University of Westminster. Coming to the end of my education I have grown to appreciate all the support I had from the very beginning of my education and hope to inspire, motivate and encourage young people into pursuing a field of their interest. I hope to inspire confidence that will allow my students to achieve the grades they want in their exams.
Having been through the struggles of GCSE and A-Level exams I can appreciate the stress and anxiety that students have in studying and hope to teach and explain concepts and ideas in simple ways that will allow them to gain confidence in their own abilities.
Having studied in very different environments and understood different teaching methods I believe I have the tools necessary to create a learning environment that will be interactive informative and engaging to allow my students to thrive and progress academically.
For Sciences I prefer taking a more exam focussed approach centered around exam questions and actively recalling information through flashcards and repetition as this is better known to improve exam readiness. I find it also engaging to use programs such as Kahoot to add an engaging element to learning science. Watching YouTube videos on key practicals also makes it easy for visual learners to see science in action.
For Humanities I find it more effective to make mind maps and use methods such as blurting, which have helped me achieve a first class in some of my university exams, to allow students to remember the information at a large capacity. Remembering key dates, timelines, quotes, and concepts can be done through repetition and frequent revision well before the exam dates so this information can be confidently recalled well before an exam. I have found CGP revision guides to be key in understanding difficult topics in simple terms.
I have always had a passion for English Literature and Language and found myself enjoying the texts we studied which made it easier for me to grapple with AO3 concepts and link ideas together. I have also enjoyed discovering the technicalities of the sciences and always find myself wanting to learn more.
I believe my passion for English, Humanities, and Science subjects will allow my students to not only enjoy learning but thrive.
I strongly believe that having a passion for a subject makes teaching it and learning it a better experience as I discovered through my A-Level Law teacher who ignited my passion for Law.
I am grateful that you would consider me as a tutor and hope that I can help your child on their academic journey.

Experience / Qualifications
I have had informal experience teaching a few students in the years below me during sixth form and have been informally tutoring my younger sisters in KS3 exams and more recently for GCSE's, my sister is now planning to study at her first choice for college. I have also had the experience in teaching my neighbours children studying for A-Level exams and for GCSE's both of whom got grades that allowed them to get into the college and university of their choice.
