About Me
I know English examinations inside out. I have worked in 6 schools as an English teacher . As Head of English I increased GCSE results in English Language and Literature by over 30% in one year.
I have taught English GCSE to students of all ages and abilities, moving students from B to A (5/6 to 7/8 in today's grading) and F to C. (2 to 4/5) I have also been a GCSE examiner for AQA,Edexcel, NEAB and an 'A' level teacher and examiner for Cambridge and AQA.
Additionally I have tutored Common Entrance, 11plus as well as GCSE and'A' level for many years.
I am organised and patient as well as understanding . I devise a programme unique to every tutee. I will give each tutee an assessment in his/her first lesson and explain how we will progress after that.

I am a qualified English teacher and I have been teaching English for five years. I specialise in teaching English as a second language (ESL) but I also teach native English speakers. I have taught hundreds of students from all different nationalities and backgrounds from the age of 3 to 65 including British, Spanish, Romanian, Polish, Chinese, Ukrainian and Nepalese to name a few.
I have helped my students achieve their individual goals such as passing their GCSEs, A-Levels, IELTS exams, Functional Skills exams and Citizenship tests, helping to write dissertations and theses improving their grammar, building confidence in speaking English, delivering a presentation, working on pronunciation, improving their writing skills and writing a CV.
Many of my students have excelled their expected results and I have a 100% pass rate with students I have mentored for exams. I’d like to describe myself as a friendly, patient, fun and enthusiastic teacher that can help you not only build up your confidence in English, but also gain the skills you need to achieve your goal!

I specialise in GCSE, A-Level and non-certificate learning (i.e those who wish to learn for fun). My class focuses on both oral and written aspects of the language and seeks to make language learning fun and memorable. Language learning requires repetition and so I will test content in different ways to ensure it is internalised.
