About Me

I'm a PhD candidate in neuropsycholinguistics and consultant to private clients. My advisory clients include the House of Lords, the NHS, People Primetime International, the Manchester Metropolitan University, Falmouth University, the Emotional Intelligence Academy, the YMCA, the Y Club, the Castelfield Hotel, the National Citizenship Service, Equal Education, etc. My mentoring clients range pre-academic, academic, and professional contexts. My PhD research examines the composite language and communication phenomena of schizophrenia, as relative to figurative language processing, using experimental psycholinguistic methods; my master's dissertation focused on paralinguistics: blended displays (i.e. complex facial expressions) of emotion; and my bachelor's took the form of a stylistics combined honours (i.e. linguistics with creative writing). My vocational experience includes a substantive clinical education post within NHS psychiatric services—specifically, as an interpersonal communications tutor; in parallel, I've provided consultancy services since 2011.

Voulez-vous parler la langue de Molière avec fluidité ? N'hésitez pas à me contacter !

Kickstart your Korean! 1 to 1 tutoring online or in-person
여러분, 안녕하세요? 🇰🇷 Do you want to start learning Korean and do you want to do it in an organised way? 🇰🇷 Did you already get started on learning but you got stuck on a particular grammar? 🇰🇷 Are you aiming for a TOPIK 1-2 language exam and do you want to get prepared in as short and effective a time as possible? As a language tutor with over 10 years of didactic experience and a TOPIK level 5 language exam, I can help you overcome difficulties and reach your goals. My love with Korean language and culture started more than 10 years ago thanks to my amazing Korean friends that I made during my first exchange year in Japan. Fast forward to 2016, I spent one semester in Korea as part of my individual research trip abroad to collect materials for my PhD which later turned into another semester of working holiday as an English tutor. This year spent in Korea was my real motivation to start learning the language properly so that I could connect more to the locals. For me this was a very enjoyable, but at the same time challenging process. As a result, I can completely relate to your struggles. That is why I like to make sure that I teach my students in the way that I wish I had learned when I was a beginner. I can assist you with grammar, pronunciation, and script (but also hanja and cultural notes) up to a TOPIK level 1-2. If you have a favourite vlogger, comedian or song that you want to translate in class, that is also no problem: my classes are very open to your input to turn your progress into a really personal experience.

Classes will be in English, hopefully in Italian :) Please contact me for a tailored learning program designed on your needs!

Practical Spanish lessons/conversation with a native
Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Burgos, the city where the Spanish language was born. I'm offering Spanish lessons because I love teaching my native language. I'm a very easy-going, flexible and familiar person. Once I get to know you, I will manage to personalize the lessons according to your passions, interests, and, of course, your level of Spanish. I believe it is necessary to understand what your expectations of the lessons are so I can meet them effectively. The most important thing is that you find the lesson useful and chill :) Furthermore, I have experience teaching Spanish to friends, colleagues and children, and have knowledge from basic to complex Spanish grammar (i.e. from past tenses to syntaxis and morphology analysis). I'm open to designing a more creative class, for instance, through songs and videos.

Language Learning Coach - Learn HOW to learn a language, use it with ease and have great conversations
“I feel stuck” These words I hear again and again, from beginners to advanced. The majority of students who come to me are frustrated. They spent many years studying languages at school. They’ve spent both their time and lots of money. Only to find themselves still struggling to form a sentence. Still struggling to be able to understand a native speaker. If you’re here then I’m assuming you share some of these same struggles. You get confused trying to memorize grammar rules, remember vocabulary, and makes sentances. You don’t know how to learn every day. You get distracted and then you feel too tired to keep going. Believe it or not, I’ve been there too and to be honest, it sucks to have another language is to possess a second soul Charlemage Now, I want you to trust me on your language journey Imagine finally knowing exactly what to do when you sit at your desk to learn a language. Imagine knowing how to learn grammar, how to remember vocabulary and make it stick, how to speak, and how to write beautiful sentences. Imagine going on holiday somewhere and interacting with locals. Laughing, eating, dancing and living life in a different language.

Jamileh
English for Enthusiastic Learners; kids, young-adults and adults; Are you really willing to learn with joy? Join me
I am Jamileh, a Persian English teacher from Iran with M.A in TEFL and B.A in English translation, besides I have thirteen years of experience in teaching English to kids, young-adults, and adult learners in Iran and Turkey. Therefore I can teach at any age. As we are all currently dealing with Covid19, I have shifted all my classes to online. We will learn together as I never play the role of a teacher and I tend to mostly be a friend and a guide. My mother tongue is Persian and I am fluent in English; meanwhile, I am learning French and Turkish. As a teacher, I prefer to be friendly with my students, but also strict when it comes to fulfilling the duties. I believe that the key to good teaching is to make any topic or material comprehensive, dividing it into smaller units. English is the most popular language spoken in the world. You might have started different ways to learn; you might have postponed it to the future. Now it's the time to strike it. I'm here to help you improve your level of English through speaking and reading and writing and listening in the sweetest way. Let's start today. Don't miss it and call your friends too. The only positive point of living is to learn endlessly. Let's get it done. This class concentrates mainly on four skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening. First, we'd have a placement test to see your level of knowledge. Then I will present the topic of the session before and we would work on it in the next session. My teaching method is a selection of the best books and methodologies I have experienced during 13 years of teaching. The class would be held via the Zoom app and I will write all the points on the whiteboard for you, you will be given some tasks to practice and be checked each session. The more persistent you are, the sooner you will get results.
