I am an experienced and passionate teacher of Italian for foreign speakers. I studied Italian, Latin and Greek philosophy and literature, and I have a MSc in Psychology (first- class honours with distinction) gained in Italy as well. As such, you only need to clarify your final objective and I will take care of the rest. I will conduct an assessment, draw a learning plan and make sure you have bite-sized study sessions that will suit your schedule. My three main areas of expertise (not necessarily in this order):

- Chess: I teach chess to beginners and intermediate players up to ELO 1800 or ECF 1700, working on the tactical and strategic aspects of openings, middle games and endgames.. "chess is life in miniature"!

- Fitness / Running / Triathlon: I coach people who want to get fitter and generally incorporate any endurance activity into a health(ier) lifestyle. I am a dedicated coach who has competed in several marathons and Ironman races (also qualified for the Ironman World Championship). I focus on nutrition, stress and sleep as well for a holistic approach.

- Languages: I specialize in tutoring Italian and Spanish; my style is to keep students challenged and motivated through simple classes and practical exercises (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary).. I'm a demanding teacher but will guide you in a fun and interactive way.

Italy is one of the countries where not that many citizens speak English language, therefore it might be difficult to adapt to locals without knowing Italian, at least basic one.

By this class I would like to immerse you into Basic Italian language and culture. For the teaching purposes, throughout the classes, I will use different highly-rated textbooks of local editions, effective YouTube channels, interesting articles. I will cover main functional areas of Italian grammar and vocabulary within different areas and will make sure that you start speaking since the first class already, since Practice Makes Perfect and Italian is not so difficult as it may seem at first!
