Each age is special and different visual styles can be worked upon and the outcomes can often be surprisingly authentic. Those anticipations are the basis of each class. My classes are designed through collaborations when it comes to experimentations or intersected fields and mediums, which is an option and pertinent characteristic of approach.

Classes are applicable to students who are 16+ of all levels .
Personal Portfolio Class:
If you are considering applying for art school or design school, you might want to prepare yourself and build a convincing portfolio, perhaps improve your presentation skill or even some confidence boost for interviews.
We will first explore what talents you already have and those you will want/need to have, the goal is to help you develop your creativity and curiosity as well as your artistic skills and most importantly find out your inner talent for a direction that will suit you, whether in education or self-development. And we will do a live rehearsal for your interview for the best presentation result and confidence boost. Overall, It'll help you cultivate the soft and hard skills you need to be more confident setting and resetting expectations, strengthening relationships, and taking your projects across the finish line without any cold sweat.

For teenagers: are highly encouraged to experiment with different materials and techniques and preferably through themes - selected by me or the student's likings as well. We will also look at specific Artists and Painters, as well as specific Art History periods, and the kids will then be encouraged to play around and recreate their own version of the Artist or period. Needless to say that class do not necessarily mean free-time activity, the academic material is intentionally or not(unconsciously) always a present element of my instructive performance. Therefore, the game becomes a teaching/learning relation, whilst teaching and learning turn into a recreational joyful moment for all participants.

About Me

I am a visual artist & professional multimedia designer who is based in Eindhoven for both commissioned and personal projects.

I provide teaching in either English or Cantonese for any level. You will learn traditional sketching, drawing, painting, applied arts, and graphic arts like printing or illustration.
I do custom-made lessons where collaboration and individuality are encouraged, with a sympathetic, ethical, and open-minded approach.

If I was stranded on a desert island I would take only Adobe Photoshop with me. Hi, I'm an artist living in Amsterdam who is a big believer in Photoshop and working with this tool everyday. I will teach you hand by hand (layer by layer) to do anything in Photoshop. Web Design, Graphic Design, App design, Logos (Corporate Identity), Photography, Art collage - name it. The program is cropped for you. We can start from really beginning or jump into the ocean. If you want help with a project or a learn specific skill just let me know. We can meet in my studio in Amsterdam Center, in my house Amsterdam Oost, in a cafe or in your location. I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style.

For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

Hello, I am Marcela a multidisciplinary artist with BA in Visual Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts - University of Queretaro, Mexico. I have also done an exchange of 6 months to learn about sophisticated art methods at the Faculty of Fine Arts - University of Granada, Spain. Additionally, to deepen my skills, I took two courses on drawing and painting at Crea, Amsterdam.
In this course I will teach the basis of drawing and painting. Regarding drawing, I will teach the principles of sketching, moving forward to the specifics of light and shadow. During the drawing classes, you will also learn about different techniques, such as pastels, charcoal, and graphite. With respect to painting, you will learn about theory of colour, how to design a colour palette, and how to apply it. Next, you will learn about the specificities of materials, such as acrylics, watercolour and oils. You will then be able to experiment with these materials, and at the end create your own artwork based on your preferences.

Drawing often seems intimidating for the fact that once you start drawing, you are expected to soon be advanced, skilful and know how to do figure, technical, academical drawing.

One of the most important things that I learned through the process of drawing, painting, sketching, is how to relax your body and mind to transfer your soul onto paper, canvas, how to let your curiosity, imagination intertwine with the blissful nature of art.

I want to encourage people to seek their own inner voice rather than to copy what's already been done, what I have struggled with for years, even during my lessons in an art school. I want to encourage people to let go of comparing themselves, their skills, abilities, motivation to others and find the pure beauty in passion and love. To free what we often suppress.

I can teach you the basics of drawing such as perspective and shading. As for painting, i can show you whole the process of oil painting starting by fixing the canvas on a frame, bedmaking, isolation and painting itself. I can show you the basic methods of watercolor as well.

I believe that everyone can draw. All it takes is to sit down, start, and keep practicing. I have taught myself to draw faces/portraits and that is why I am very enthusiastic about conveying my creative process to others, so that they can also get started with what they want to create.

I have developed my art and creative process throughout my life. After training at three different art academies, including Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, I have now been working full-time as an artist for 8 years. I make my works with acrylic paint, but I still draw and sketch a lot on paper. My art style is a mix of spontaneous realism and abstract use of color, pop art and comic style.

Art Therapy is a mental health service to support individuals seeking a safe space to process their emotions and stressors/trauma. You may use art materials to develop coping tools to build emotional regulation and creative expression and self-esteem. No necessary artistic skills are required. It is not mandatory to use art materials. Art therapy is another form of psychotherapy which focuses psychodynamic and gestalt approaches.

Digital Art – from idea to independent work

In this course, I'll teach you the basics of digital art. We'll start with the foundation: how to translate ideas into images, how to work digitally with layers, shapes, color, and composition, and how to use different techniques and tools within a single creative process.

My focus is on thinking as a creator. I teach you not only how to create digital art, but especially how to justify choices, experiment, and develop your own direction. I see digital tools as an extension of your creativity, not an end in themselves.
