Graduated with a DEM (Diploma of musical studies) in classical saxophone, a Bachelor's degree in jazz saxophone and a License in Musicology from the Sorbonne in Paris. I am currently studying for a master's degree in jazz saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I give lessons in saxophone, improvisation, jazz harmony, music theory. The lessons I offer are based on learning pieces adapted to the level of the student and his musical tastes, work on relaxation, ease and pleasure on the instrument, development of sound and sensations. playing. I introduce my students to a lot of music, to arouse in them their interest in the instrument and its music.

Available for beginner and advanced students that want to learn jazz or pop saxophone and music theory. The class will be adapted for each student, after an evaluation of their level and goals. For the beginners: it is required to have a saxophone, a mouthpiece and reeds. Together it will be possible to find the best gear for the student. I will provide for each student personalized didactic material, that will be made lesson by lesson. The focus of the classes will be: technique, repertoire (jazz, for those interested to jazz and pop for those interested to pop), sound exercises, improvisation, transcribing and composing.

My name is Evan and I just moved to Brussels to study at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Last year I finished my masters degree at The Juilliard School in New York City. I taught many students in New York and I would love to teach around Brussels! I am able to teach players of all levels: from total beginner to an expert looking to unlock their next breakthrough. Gaining flexibility in range to be able to play as calmly as possible is for me the basis of things. I did classical studies and then specialized in jazz. The study of the classical method is of course possible, as is the work of jazz phrasing or even improvisation for those who want to start in this branch.

Both powerful and transversal, it allows both musical creation, mixing, mastering, live performances, sound design ... and much more. This course will take place on ableton live 11. No hardware is required but it is recommended to have a version of ableton.

Then there is the analysis of a piece of music that can be so confusing that we could spend some valuable one-to-one time on. I am here to help and below are some reasons why I am well suited to give you the appropriate advice that you need. I worked in a comprehensive school teaching music for over 35 years. In that time I engaged with many different exam boards at GCSE and A level delivering a range of different courses. This experience and my passion for all aspects of music, whether it be performing, composing or listening and analysis enables me to give you the right advice. Whatever you need help with, I am very keen to be able to offer my expertise in any or all of these areas. Each of the three disciplines is intrinsically connected with the other two and having a good grasp of all three will enable you to improve your ability overall.

I started playing guitar in September 1996.I have performed extensively, including tours in a variety of bands, as a rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, and composer. I have studied with private teachers or on my own, carefully selecting my books and teaching methods.I can teach pop and rock guitar in the broadest sense of the term, whether through pick playing or finger-picking. In addition, I have extensive knowledge of production, mixing, editing, and electronic music, which makes me very knowledgeable about effects pedals for electric guitarists. However, I teach both folk and electric guitar. I have been giving private lessons since 2008, alongside my life as a professional musician.
