Acting is all about embodying a different character. Be that someone you relate to or a person that is the antithesis of yourself, being able to portray that difference is the core of performance. I believe in the importance of utilising the strengths a person has as an individual to further propel their acting.

In this class, I will give you persoanlised feedback and performance direction for whatever role you're playing. This can be used for self tape help, monologue/duologue work, theory, etc. The end result will be a stronger performance that you are able to feel more fluid in performing.

About Me

Hi, I’m Sam, a 20 year old actor originally from the North East now currently based in Farnham, Surrey. I’m currently studying at the University for the Creative Arts. I have had a wide range of experience broadly from improv to physical theatre to comedy and Shakespeare. On the side, I additionally do cinematography and produce my own shows.

The human voice is a very personal instrument but a very powerful one. Trained properly, theres no limits to what you can sing.

My goal as a teacher is to educate you on correct vocal technique so that you can conquer any song that you want to. I will ask YOU what YOUR goals are and what you would like to achieve vocally, and will structure my lessons accordingly to ensure you are in control and learning what inspires you most! If you want to gain more confidence as a singer, improve your performance skills and even start from scratch, you're in the right place.

If you are preparing for a drama school audition or a public speaking event, if you are looking to build your confidence and expression through the development of acting skills or if you are keen to expand your creative writing skills as a playwright, I would love to help you.

I am a professional actress and movement director and I deliver one-to-one drama tuition sessions and full day workshops that are tailored to suit your individual needs. I have worked as an acting teacher and public speaking coach for all age groups (from ages 3 - 80!) for 24 years and it is a great passion and privilege of mine to assist in this way, seeing my students' evolution.

I have both a diploma and a degree in Acting (LAMDA, Associate Acting Diploma/ Rose Bruford, BA Hons Acting) and I have trained with Gecko physical theatre company. As well as performing for decades on stage and on screen, I have also run The Bedlam Bunch Children's Theatre and Entertainment since 2007, through which I have written and directed numerous stage plays as well as interactive, immersive shows for children aged 3 - 9 years. I also founded and ran Outburst Theatre from 2010 - 2019 as a platform to bring communities together in South East London via educational theatre projects. As a solo artist, I have written and produced three one-woman stage shows - "Raw Cake", "Through the Hourglass" and "The Wonky Shonky Show" - all performed in London, UK.
