Doctor of Biological Engineering and experienced teacher of sciences (biology, chemistry and physics and mathematics) in upper secondary education, I offer private lessons adapted to the needs of pupils and students. My areas of expertise cover:

- Mathematics: algebra, geometry, analysis, problem solving.
- Physics: mechanics, electromagnetism, nuclear physics, optics etc.
- Chemistry: mineral and organic chemistry.
- Biology: general biology (animal and plant), animal and plant physiology.

I am addressing both secondary school students (lower and higher) and university level students (bachelor and master students, with the exception of civil engineers).

Personalized methodology
Each pupil or student benefits from an initial diagnosis to identify their needs and difficulties. On this basis, a tailor-made learning strategy is developed to maximize their understanding and progress.

For high school students, their school's assessments and course materials may be integrated into sessions to remain aligned with specific academic requirements.

My goal is to provide structured and effective support, while promoting self-confidence and autonomy in learning.
Extra information
A course in order and examples of assessments are always a plus in order to adapt my methodology to the expectations of the student's tutor. The assessments also allow to target difficulties and to best prepare the student for future assessments.

About Me
Doctor in biological engineering, I had the opportunity to work for 10 years as an assistant at the university, where I accompanied students in their learning of sciences, particularly in biology, chemistry and physics. For 8 years, I have been teaching these subjects at the upper secondary level, as well as mathematics, always with the same passion for sharing scientific knowledge and developing the skills of my students.

I like to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible way, adapting to the specific needs of each pupil or student. My main goal is to provide them with a deep understanding of the subjects taught, while helping them acquire an effective working method that will promote their autonomy and long-term success.

My private lessons cover a wide range of disciplines:

Mathematics: algebra, geometry, analysis, problem solving, etc.
Physics: mechanics, electromagnetism, nuclear physics, and more.
Chemistry: mineral and organic chemistry.
Biology: general animal and plant biology, as well as physiology.

For secondary school students (lower and upper), I ensure that they are in line with the school programs by using their assessments or course materials as a basis for work, while supplementing these resources if necessary.

With university students (bachelor's and master's degrees, except civil engineers), I offer rigorous support based on the requirements of their curriculum, with an emphasis on a thorough understanding of scientific concepts and the resolution of complex problems.

Each session begins with a precise diagnosis of the student's strengths and weaknesses. This diagnosis allows us to develop a tailor-made learning strategy, adapted to their level and objectives. My teaching approach aims to develop not only solid academic skills, but also the self-confidence and autonomy essential for success.

As a passionate and experienced teacher, I am convinced that the key to learning lies in a relationship of trust and support adapted to each individual. My ambition is to help each pupil and student reach their full potential by giving them the tools they need to progress and excel in their studies.

Doctor of Chemistry, I am currently a professor at the Haute École Léonard de Vinci (Institut Paul Lambin) in the Chemistry Department and have been teaching in higher education for 8 years. I was also a full-time teaching assistant in chemistry at UCLouvain for science, bioengineering and management engineering students for 7 years. I also hold the agrégation (higher secondary education teaching qualification). With my background as a teacher at different levels of higher education, I give private lessons in chemistry, adapting as best as possible to your level by consolidating as much as possible the basics that often pose the most problems. I enjoy trying to make this subject, which, it must be admitted, is rather separate and complex, more understandable. I also try to make chemistry concepts more perceptible using concrete examples of their usefulness.
I most often work in 1.5 or 2 hour lessons with a break in the middle and provide additional exercises to do at home to optimize learning.
I teach classes in French or English.

Looking forward to working together! 🙂

I must admit, for a math teacher, I had terrible grades in school. I always thought I wasn't cut out for a scientific career.

When I decided to become an engineer, I had to start from zero and learn everything by myself. At first, I would have been incapable of passing an eight grade math test. Months of hard self-taught work led me to develop a study method focused on deep understanding of a subject rather than mere information retention.

Through this project of becoming a private tutor, I hope to become the person I needed most a few years ago. The person that can, in addition of helping a student succeed, give them the motivation to learn. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

In the last year of my doctorate, I offer my support in physics or mathematics. My courses are intended for all students from the 4th secondary to the 2nd bachelor.

My approach is mainly practical (full exercises) and always based on concrete examples to illustrate the concepts studied and make them better understood.

Although rigor is part of my teaching, the course takes place in a very relaxed atmosphere where a discussion takes place between the student and me rather than a one-sided transmission of knowledge.

In addition, I offer help for using the following programming languages:
Python, Java, C (++), Julia, Matlab, Shell

Having qualified as a management engineer since 2020, I have always had the opportunity to share my taste for mathematics with younger students who are reluctant to think that mathematics is not as terrible as it seems. Thanks to my previous experiences as a private teacher in mathematics, I will seek, on a case by case basis, the best educational way to demystify this subject in order to transform it into a fun and beneficial branch for the student's future.

Since high school and even more so since university, I have already given many hours of private lessons for exams or tests. I have also done substitute teaching in secondary schools. The feedback on the results has always been positive.

Patient, serious, and motivated, I've always wanted to be a teacher. Learning and teaching are things I'm passionate about. I love seeing the little spark of understanding in my students' eyes.

My favorite line: "Ah! But it wasn't so difficult!"

Having graduated with a master's degree in mathematical sciences, the agrégation (AESS) and as a secondary school mathematics teacher, I offer my services to give private lessons on secondary or baccalaureate subjects.

I always make sure everything is understood, I check that there are no gaps from previous years before continuing. It is important that the basics are well understood.
