Hi! I am a dedicated and passionate violin teacher with years of experience in both performance and instruction. I am an accomplished violinist with a rich background in both solo and chamber music performance. Over the past 20 years, I have participated in numerous orchestral and violin masterclasses and performed at various festivals and competitions. My experience includes a range of solo recitals, orchestral performances, and chamber ensemble concerts, all of which have sharpened my skills and deepened my expertise. This diverse background allows me to bring a high level of musical insight, precision, and passion to my teaching, and to guide students to reach their full potential in violin performance.

I have given concerts in different countries, such as Belgium, Spain, Germany, Russia, Japan, Lithuania and Belarus.
Winner of several international music competitions ("The Night in Madrid" 3rd prize," Märkische Musiktage "2nd prize," Furioso Fourth International Violin Competition 2021 " 1st prize).
I followed masterclasses at the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 I did an internship as a violin teacher in Moscow.
Participant of the Kogan festival in Russia. At the age of 5 I started playing the violin. In the meantime I have 13 years of experience in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles. As part of my studies I organized a solo concert in the Sint-Nicolaaskerk in Ghent.

Today - after completing an extensive selection procedure - Laurens is professionally active as a clarinetist with the Royal Marine Band, one of the prestigious orchestras of the Belgian army.

In addition to his education at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Laurens has had the opportunity to learn several times in a number of masterclasses by, among others, Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Davide Lattuada (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Bart de Karter (New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchester de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (The La Monnaie Theatre), David Van Maele (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides), Bart Watté (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides) etc.
