About Me
Irene has worked independently in Voice, Dialect and Confidence coaching for over 8 years. For her undergrad, she attended Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she specialised in Acting Studies BA Hons and where she was invited back for an in-person work placement in 2021.
She has completed Masters in Voice Studies with Teaching and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama which she is converting to an MFA at Italia Conti. This included further placements coaching General American Accent for World Theatre Students at East 15 Southend; and Vocal Consultant with RCSSD on the Applied Theatre course storytelling project. Areas of research interest are physical styles, accent/dialect work, and vocal nutrition. She has an inter-disciplinary and evidence-based approach to the art of communication in performance industries.
The youngest daughter of two lawyers with three older sisters, Irene spent her young life learning not just how to communicate; also, how to listen. For this she won National Competitions in Debate, Public Speaking and Presentation, earning herself places in special performance at The National Theatre and Manchester’s Royal Exchange and Palace Theatres. She has acted in television, voice over, immersive theatre, bouffant and commedia del arte styles. She grew up observing and imitating those around her...honing her main tenets of communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration.
Training and Coaching in Voice, Confidence and Communication since 2015. Using theatrical skills, industry knowledge & efficacious technique to develop stronger vocal use for performance.
