I'm a harpsichord player based in The Hague, a concert performer, and a teacher.
I try to combine the instrument lessons with music theory and harmony which is very important for all the students.

I am a musician with extensive international teaching experience.

I have taught Harpsichord and Basso Continuo at the Conservatory of Music in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and teaching private students as well.

I also worked as a Piano and Music Theory teacher at Yamaha Music School in Zaragoza, where I teach students of all ages, starting from 7 years old

Throughout my career, I have given masterclasses across Europe and Asia and performed in numerous concert halls on both continents, enriching my artistic journey.

My teaching and artistic approach continuously evolve, always seeking new ways to share and expand my musical knowledge. I am also involved in a renowned early music course in Las Palmas, which attracts leading teachers and performers in the field of Early Music.

Music Theory
Music theory is just as important as playing an instrument and my lessons combine practice and theory. Learn about rhythmical structures, and the way melodies are built and gain a deeper understanding of harmony and music history.

Playing the piano is a very demanding activity that requires time and patience, however, it can be extremely fun! Feeling the power of creating sound through your own hands is an amazing experience that we all should feel. In the lessons, You will also learn how to practice in a time-saving way. About Me
Over 10 years ago I moved from a small town in the north of Spain to Barcelona, and since then I have followed some of the most important conservatories in Europe: Liceo Conservatory in Barcelona, Amsterdam Conservatory, and The Royal Conservatory of The Hague. During the last few years, I have been fortunate to offer concerts in Italy, Germany, France, and Spain, and I won first prizes in International Chamber Music Competitions. At the moment I am combining my chamber music and soloist concerts with piano teaching.

For beginner piano students, I use the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library and Suzuki Piano School. I can teach fluently in both English and Turkish as well as in some Dutch (improving all the time). I completed my Bachelor of Music in viola performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag with a minor in Music Education. At the same time, I have a certificate in teaching artistry from a certificate program called ‘The Global Leaders Program, where for my fieldwork assignment, I traveled to Chile and Jamaica and there I taught music intensively to kids who are underserved. I believe that a good teacher is one who is open to learning (because learning never stops) and who has experience in various situations. I am a very experienced teacher with an open mind and I am here to help you or your kid to learn an instrument in the most effective and fun way.

I am an American harpist holding degrees in harp from the University of North Carolina, the National Conservatory of France in Lyon, and currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag. I am happy to teach students of any age and skill level in the Hague area, either at my home or yours! Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.

Depending on what you aim for, I'll choose nice pieces/songs and interesting exercises. I always care about leaving my students with the necessary tools for practice on their own when I'm not around to guide them.

Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo.

Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory.

I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs.

Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score.

Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom.

I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training.

Currently students from 4 to 75 years old are taking my lessons. As an educator, I am committed to the process of learning while making lessons enjoyable and constructive.

The structure and the material of the lesson are formulated based on every pupil and his/her preferences while at the same time it can also be configured according to established music and piano methods. I also love to encourage my pupils to share their passion about specific music styles or pieces with me, in order to include them in the teaching process, by arranging them based on their skills. Important section of the course is the improvisation which aims to the independence of the pupil from the music score, the mastering of technical difficulties but also to the development of pupil’s creative thinking.

Teaching preschool kids (4-6) is always a challenge but through my experience I have formulated a method in which the young pupils approach music with an enjoyful way. Through my guidance they become familiar with rhythm, ear training, singing, playing by heart short melodies with both hands, improvising, and at later stages they get introduced to music notation through games, drawing and other formats.

All piano lessons are taught on a classical piano at my home studio and may take place also at your location.

Learning how to play an instrument can fall into many classroom stereotypes; Not if you strive to discover sounds and styles, if you're open to learning not only an instrument but all that is related to music and sound making!
I've taught at different institutes and private lessons for +5 years; then slowly began to put together my own method of teaching not only piano, but related subjects to help students gain a broader knowledge and be able to take next steps in their music journey even when they're finished with their music lessons.With all the experience I gathered in working with children and adults, I've composed a method of teaching subjects related to piano performance(music theory, music history, improvisation and creative music composing) alongside lessons on the instrument and piano techniques, as the student proceeds and is in need of more broad knowledge.
It doesn't matter wether the student is a pupil or an adult, if they have experience in music or not, there's always a lot to discover together in my lessons; based on the students needs and interests.
I usually start with basics of the instrument and give students a general lesson on how the instrument works. As we proceed in our lessons, we will cover techniques and more specific skills based on the interest of the student.Our lessons are very flexible regarding class material and my aim is to keep the lessons always fun and informative as well as following the bigger aim of helping the student to be confidant in their music performing and music creation.
The format of our lessons will not stay the same as we work on different pieces, different skills and subjects. There are certain repertoire we will cover but also some of the pieces the student likes to be able to play and understand.
We will also work on performing skills, I often organise mini concerts for students that like to overcome their fear of performing on stage or for others, giving them the opportunity to perform their own pieces or from classic piano repertoire.

Hello!

I am an undergraduate student of Den Haag's Royal Conservatoire jazz department. I'm giving jazz piano/ classical piano/ music theory/ear training lessons for students of every level. Together, we can learn how to think of harmony/ chords, how to improvise over tunes, and how we can apply music theory on the keyboard. Also, we can work on piano technique through exercises, etudes and classical piano repertoire. I'm really passionate about music, and my main goal is to pass my love to other people.
