French, dyslexia support, final exam preparation. French tutoring.

From 35 £ /h

I have 25 years of experience teaching high school. I teach French there. My goal is to show students the way. Pupils learn what they really need to know to pass a school. Training for exams and learning to deal with reading tests. There are strategies for that. I give a lot of tips, both to the graduating student and a third grader. My goal is to help a student build self-confidence.

Hello, I am a French graphic designer giving flexible French lessons to all levels and all goals! I have a background in art and literature and therefore would be interested in taking the lessons to another context than the academic one. I already have previous experience in teaching French and would be pleased again to share my culture and language.
I can give adapted lessons from complete beginners to advanced ones! According to the student's wishes, the lessons can be focused on the preferred aspects (Conversation, vocabulary, grammar, writing, formal writing, etc.)

I take into account the way of learning of each person and I adapt the class to the needs of the students.
I offer classes that are various and interesting, we use articles, videos, exercises, and conversations on topics that are meaningful to you. Your progress, motivation, and fun is of great importance to me!

Besides helping you to become more fluent in French, I have a passion for French Grammar.
I have been teaching French for more than 15 years and I enjoy explaining difficult things in a simple way with clear examples. I can answer any question about French Grammar or make you practice what you know in theory.

For beginners, I use the book Alter Ego+ A1 with which I had great results over the years.
For advanced students, I use mainly videos and conversation.
I can help you to prepare the DELF as I am an official examiner.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2017 I have assisted students from different study backgrounds (from civil engineering to psychology) with writing their thesis and since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and I teach private students.

Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch and face-to-face or online, depending on the location.

Location face-to-face classes: Citizen M Amsterdam, at your home or in the public library.

Experienced academic and doctor gives tutoring mathematics and physics at all levels (from primary school to university). By default, classes are held in the teacher's home or online. Distance is of course no problem for online lessons. Both individual and group lessons can be given. The time can be flexible in consultation. I also guarantee success if a package of lessons is taken.

Learning languages are always more fun when involving an interaction based on personal interests! That's why I could take a more conventional approach to teaching but I prefer an interactive engaging type of class. We can start with basic daily life based conversations to delving into more detailed and specific contexts, to a level where any types of topics can be covered. Please message me for further info!◡̈

(I can also teach in either French or English, although I will try to speak only in Korean during the class!)

I was living for four years in France, which gave me the possibility to learn the language. I can teach you basic grammar, pronunciation, writing form of the language, sentences needed for usual communication in the same way as I have a need to speak and write French and not knowing a simple word before. As for vocabulary, we can follow for example Duolingo, and like this, you can enhance your lessons with your self-improvement and training.

The foundation of a child’s education is a crucial step in their learning journey. In my tutoring sessions, it’s essential to assess each student’s current level to identify where they need the most support and determine the best starting point for their educational development.

I plan my lessons around the specific subjects where the student requires assistance, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet their individual needs and help them progress confidently.

Looking for extra help with English at school? You've come to the right place. I'm happy to help you with all your questions and guide you in practicing the subjects you find difficult. Are you doing really well with speaking, but do you feel like writing is a bit less successful? Then we'll work together on fun assignments to improve your writing skills. So whether you find everything about the subject a bit difficult, or certain subjects such as writing, listening or speaking skills: I'm happy to help you find the way that suits you best to make progress in this. I adapt my lessons to the level and learning style of each student, so that you can achieve your goal as well as possible.

If you have specific questions about your schoolwork or if you have trouble with English at school, it is best to use the material you receive at school in the tutoring as a guideline. I can then supplement this with more assignments and material that suits your level.

I myself went to a bilingual high school and studied English at International Baccalaureate (IB) level. So if you need help practicing for a Cambridge or IB exam, that is also possible!

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested or have any questions.
