Trusted teacher: Hi music lovers, My name is Juan Ignacio. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, guitar technician (I repair/build solid body and chambered guitars), music tutor and producer/mixer. I have 23 years of experience as a guitarist and 18 of them have been as a guitar tutor (beginner, intermediate and advance). I can teach you at my private studio or at yours. Each lesson will be unique, fun and creative. I will provide you tools which can be applied to songs you love, while we'll be also working on developing important skills such as improvisation, understanding music theory, chords, scales and much more. What would I ask from you? Passion and commitment. Send me a message if you dare to enjoy learning guitar! All the best, Juan TUTORING EXPERIENCE: I've worked as a music tutor providing private lessons and also for different music agencies in London (UK) including: London Music Centre, London School of Music and Musiko Musika. I've delivered guitar lessons at Spotify (Charing Cross Office), different primary schools and kindergartens. In 2018, I taught Brit Award-Winners Bastille how to play the traditional Argentinian rhythms BIOGRAPHY: Juan was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of nine he started teaching himself how to play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums; before joining local bands and performing around the country. After studying sound engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, he worked as a live sound engineer and separately on a number of music productions in his home studio. He also trained as a luthier/guitar technician, building and repairing stringed instruments alongside his father, using his surname as a brand. In 2014 Juan moved to London to develop his skills and connections. His passion and commitment to music led him to working at guitar repair workshops around the capital city, including Camden Town and the well-known Denmark Street. He repaired guitars for artists like the legendary Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Mercury Prize-winner Michael Kiwanuka, Grammy-winners Mumford & Sons, and King Krule. He later taught Brit Award-winners Bastille how to play the traditional rhythms of his home country. In 2017, Juan started composing a wide range of music genres for all kinds of audio-visual media productions, including advertising campaigns for: Samsung, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Nesquik, Avon and Breil At the same time, he played with a host of different bands as a guitarist, and busked around town. Juan was hired to work as a guitar technician at Abbey Road on live recording sessions. During this period spent in the studio, mastering engineer Wharton spotted Juan’s potential and encouraged him to focus more of his attention on writing, releasing and performing his own material Extra information: I can provide an electric, acoustic or classical guitar.

Hi, I'm Eman and I just finished studying A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and AEA Mathematics from City and Islington College and I will be studying MEng Mathematical Computation at UCL from September 2021. Ever since first being taught maths and sciences I have had a passion for them and love learning more and being able to understand interesting topics. I achieved 14 A* grades at SSC ( Bangladesh's Secondary Completion Qualification, Homologous to GCSE), 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 7 in GCSE English Language, and D*D* in BTEC L2 Computing (Equivalent with 4A* in GCSE) therefore know what is required of students to succeed and have plenty of important revision tips that I want to pass on. I also studied the new A-level curriculum so have up-to-date subject knowledge. Often the maths and computer science feature concepts that are daunting and challenging to understand at first, but through considered and targeted explanations, repetition of crucial ideas (particularly by linking ideas across subjects, one of my favorite revision techniques at GCSE), and consolidation of ideas using past exam questions it is possible to gain a deep understanding that will serve you well through final year exams and beyond. Learning is a unique process and everybody has different ways of learning best, therefore I will aim to adapt tutorials to meet the needs of a particular student. I will always ensure that prior to the tutorial I know what topics the student wishes to cover so that I can prepare materials (e.g. source appropriate past exam questions) and consult the relevant exam board specification so that we cover everything they need to know - there will be no nasty surprises in the exam. A typical tutorial would have the following structure: A starter activity to recap what we covered in the previous week, helping the student to revise as we go along. An explanation of the key ideas we are covering, and a check of how much the student already knows. Then comes real learning! The majority of the lesson will be devoted to covering the necessary content at a pace and level appropriate to the student. Usually, I will verbally explain the topic in an informal conversation with the student before writing notes onto the board for them to copy down (that way they have something to refer back to later). Past exam paper questions as practice. And lastly, if appropriate, how these ideas link to other things they may have covered or are yet to cover. But most importantly, I aim to create a relaxed and fun environment for learning where the student can feel confident in their own abilities and will enjoy the learning process!

Ciao! My name is Marika and I am Italian mother language. Learning a foreign language can be extremely difficult. The simplest way is to put into practice what you learn daily, and to do this you need a Tutor to talk to. A friendly and patient person who has already faced the difficulties of learning a new language. That's why my lessons are based on conversation. I believe the best way to learn is through speaking without fear - I'll take notes while you speaking and share with you some tools that help you to learn efficiently. "Provando si sbaglia, sbagliando s'impara"! (lear from failure!) WHY CHOOSE ME: I will get to know you and find out what your learning style is, so that our lessons are always tailored to you! My approach is based on conversation. I will shape a method that stimulates conversation and interactivity with a touch of fun. You will improve your pronunciation and memorize many words. I use games, fantasy situations, and dialogues that stimulate discussion between us. I will also use videos, audio, and articles to improve your speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills. If you have never studied Italian, I will improve your language skills by guiding you step by step. We will start with phonetics, vocabulary and then with simple presentation dialogues. In a short time, you will find that you begin to understand and speak Italian. If you have a specific purpose or interest, tell me! We will form a program together and maybe I will learn something from you. See you soon!

Book an online lesson with Tom! - Tom is an award winning Saxophonist who's work has stemmed from recording sax parts for the Lego Marvel Superhero franchise to writing and releasing albums with Edition Records. Other work includes international touring and TV appearances with pop artists such as Tom Fletcher and The Four Tops. Tom has been teaching privately and in schools for the past 4 years. During this time he has also completed the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music teaching qualification. "Tom has been tutoring my daughter Emma (8) on saxophone for about 6 months and the progress Emma has made is unbelievable. Tom is very friendly, plays the saxophone exceptionally and his lessons are always fun. It is hard to find the right tutor, especially when it comes to music, but Tom is amazing at what he does and Emma always looks forward to her saxophone lessons. I would recommend Tom to anyone who wishes to learn to play the saxophone in a fun and engaging way." - Eva "10 out of 10. Tom is simply - Excellent. We were so lucky to find Tom and even luckier that he had the time in his schedule to accommodate our son with a weekly lesson. We believe Tom was instrumental in our son attaining successful music college applications - but even more importantly - his lovely, easy understated, non-intimidating rapport with our son is why we give him a 10 out of 10! He offers efficient structured lessons and is very encouraging. Of course Tom’s music theory and knowledge is exceptional...to have the guidance of a Royal Academy of Music Scholarship recipient has been nothing short of a privilege for son! Our son would like to keep carrying on with Tom until he gets to his next step - in order to keep his playing at the ready." - Janis "My lessons with Tom have been a fantastic propellant for developments in terms of my technical facility, musicianship and developing a unique voice. Having the privilege of guidance from a master musician like Tom has allowed me to develop further and accomplish more than I could've hoped. Tom listens and clearly explains every concept and exercise with clarity, he cares about getting the most out of the lesson time which means you come away with plenty of material to work on. And as an extra bonus it's always a pleasure to hear him play his saxophone." - Marko
