Mathematics is an essential subject studied by all students from prep school to GCSE class. Having adequate Maths knowledge also helps students understand science subjects such as Physics and Chemistry. Studying Maths has always been fun for me since I love finding the most efficient way to solve problems. I understand that not all students feel this way and that is why I am here to teach students not only the fundamental methods to solve Maths problems but also how closely related Maths is to our real world. In my lessons, I will use Key Stage, AQA, and GCE Maths books with sample papers to explain the content thoroughly to my students. I will also offer class notes written by myself specifically for my students to help them grasp the knowledge in a clear layout. Having completed both my GCSE and A-level studies in the UK, I have firsthand experience of studying and taking these exams and hope to deliver my tips to my students. I am fluent in English although my native language is Mandarin Chinese. Finally, as an older sibling, I have experience assisting my sister the whole way through her GCSE exams. This is our birthright, and we should be uncompromising in reclaiming it. If you feel that there's more to life, if you feel that there's something missing, or you're feeling stuck in some way, our meditation sessions can help elevate, give clarity and move you forward. MY APPROACH: *My sessions are for ALL levels and ALL ages (assessed on a case-by-case basis), I will meet you where you're at. *All sessions are tailored around your needs. When working with me, you have my full energy and attention. I'm here for the sole purpose of assisting you. *Heart-led approach: as a space holder I'm here to receive you in a completely non-judgemental and compassionate way. It's my job to make you feel safe and I will be there to guide you through anything you want to explore in these sessions. ~ Meditation is the Root, but there are many branches that may be required for an individual's development. WHAT TO EXPECT: A central part of my practice is sharing, discussion, reflection. Sessions are usually oriented around a certain topic of discussion/sharing, where you would bring a specific question, topic or issue to explore further. We may start (or end) with a tea (with optional assistive herbs), and see where it takes us. Using meditation/discussion as a starting point, intuitively I will guide the session to where I feel it needs to go - such as into a sound bath, further meditation or perhaps we need to do some energetics to move stagnant energies. Sometimes it works the other way around, we can start with a meditation, that may or may not have a specific focus, and from there the session will unfold potentially into points of sharing/discussion. Everyone is different, every day is different ~ so we just go with the flow of what the present moment asks of us. Trusted teacher: STARTS IN APRIL (availability is from March 31st onwards) If you are serious about writing poetry, or even just a serious poetry reader, then join me for a guide to the poetry of London, while also having the chance to work together on your own writing inspired by the wanderings we will take. A particular focus will be south of the river, the docklands, and the square mile (the old city of London). Explore the worlds of - and delve into - Shakespeare, William Blake, Arthur Rimbaud and others and investigate the liminal places of London that have inspired many London poets. I will also be able to support your writing in online classes. You may have written for a long time, or just be taking a first step to find a safe environment to share your work with someone else. Writing can be such an enriching practice (which may even transform your life), but this doesn't mean it is easy or fulfilling all the way. There are bumps and blocks and tensions... one great way through them is to start to build a community... a good place to start can be to find someone to guide the process of writing and finding ways to support your creativity. I can also signpost to places to go and can guide you to group opportunities and communities, whatever your means. This is best done as a series of classes to reflect and work on your own work. I am a published poet and fiction writer and have worked as a writing tutor for 5 years. I have an MA in Creative Writing and am studying towards a PhD. I work as a writing mentor for poets and writers from many different backgrounds.

It's a joy to work with Katie, she has a lovely personality and a very flexible teaching style. Apart from being a good pianist I value the fact that she is able to put music into context. great experience! we only had couple of hours of conversation, as I wanted to take the rust off my French during a trip in Paris. she was very open, easy-going and at the same time very helpful in pointing-out prononciation, words that I didn't know, etc. I'm sure she's great for classes over a longer time period too. highly recommended.
