Repeated patterns and verses are excellent for developing rhythm and memory and of course, the simple repetitive movement in action songs are fantastic for coordination and motor skills. Trusted teacher: Hi students and music lovers ! Piano is a fun and rewarding way to explore music for people of all ages, whether you've played music before or not, and is one of the most accessible instruments right from the first lesson! I teach with a variety of pop-transcriptions and easy Classical pieces, simple improvisation and harmony exercises, and am comfortable adapting to each pupils own way of learning. If you're new to piano, or have played before and want to rekindle your love of music, get in touch to arrange a first lesson! I will book us a room with a grand piano at the Academy. I graduated Master’s cum laude in Piano Performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre studying with prof. Peep Lassmann, who was himself a student of the great Russian pianist Emil Gilels. I have 12 years' private teaching experience, and was employed by Märjamaa Music and Art School as a 1:1 piano teacher in 2018-19. I also have a BMus (Hons) degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and DipABRSM, the standard professional teaching qualification in the UK. Reviews from current students: "Jamie is an amazing teacher. I had no knowledge of piano before him and was worried in general of being able to learn. His way of explaining, patience and incredible passion for music gave me the push to try and are reinforcing my motivation to learn more day-by-day. Our classes are alive, fun, and so much like a continuous journey through all the aspects of piano music." - Angelyk "Jamie makes this comfortable atmosphere, you'll never be afraid to make a mistake. I learned a song already in my second/third lesson. 🙂 " - Taimi

I specialised in Economics and Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, achieving a 2:1 in my degree. I achieved 10A*s & 1A at GCSE level and 3A*s & 1A at A Level (Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A*), Economics (A*) & Geography (A)). Despite this success I really struggled with academia prior to my GCSEs and absolutely hated revision/exams! I think this view was compounded by my dyslexia. However my track record shows that I have been able to overcome these challenges through what I think is a really effective learning method! During sessions I will work through the theory, ensuring that it is well understood. Following the sessions I will assign homework, which will be used to map progress. Fine Art can be a confusing, and often inaccessible subject. However, creating and engaging with art can also be empowering once you have the understanding of contemporary art practises. It is my intention to engage both children and adults in creative play, and discussion, to create exciting lessons. Lessons will often be tailored towards the individual's interests, linking them to relevant artists and artistic practises. A wide range of materials and processes will be explored in the lessons, including painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art, allowing students to find their strengths. As a Fine Art and History of Art graduate it truly is my passion to ignite, distill, and grow a person's interests in Art, Design and Art History. I have experience in creating and teaching lessons for students of all ages, from 4 years of age up to adults. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in the trickier aspects of a Fine Art qualification, where jumping through the hoops and tick the boxes that the exam boards require can often take the joy out of creating. My aim is to help students get the grade that truly reflects their engagement and enthusiasm for art, guiding them through the certain requirements that can often feel confusing or frustrating. Whatever level of understanding and ability the student may have, these lessons will be challenging, creative and rewarding.

Playing the guitar is the best way to stand out in a group of friends. Showing your skill is one of the things that most encourages learning. But not only that. Playing an instrument is a therapy, it reduces anxiety, it develops your reasoning ability and connects you to the beauty of musicality. With my teaching method you will quickly learn to play your favorite songs in all genres or improve your skills.
My goal is to help students develop the confidence to think for themselves through the process of writing and research. Through creating an engaging learning plan with the student, to helping them articulate exciting ideas and arguments, I am able to adapt and respond to the needs of each individual. Academic History and Politics are about language and how it is used in argument and debate. In each of these subjects I will help students to find the appropriate vocabulary, to improve their writing technique, and to structure essays in the most effective manner.

Trusted teacher: Private lessons and tutoring Student in a language school in London, I give private lessons in mathematics and French for students in classes from 6 th to 12th grade. After a Scientific baccalaureate and 2 years of preparatory class for the grandes écoles, I had the opportunity to work for private tutoring organizations in Paris. I followed for almost two years students of all levels. I can cite you as an example: Preparation for the certificate for a pupil in the 3rd year, preparation for the baccalaureate for a pupil in the Scientific terminal, and many others. My methodology consists first of all in working the course and practicing on simple applications in order to clearly identify the student's difficulties. After the explanation of the misunderstood concepts, I propose deepening exercises, so that the student can prepare for the supervised homework. The goal is for the student to acquire work methods that will allow him to be more comfortable in the subject taught. For more information, contact me by direct message.
